For me, Acon Digital's Deverberate 3 stays the champ. Just throw it on the track "as-is", and BOOM, no more echo's, resonances etc. Just clean audio.

The new Accentize dxRevive is astonishingly good at restoring dialogue. Removes noise and reverb and restores spectral balance in a snap, all with one button. It blew me away and it now replaces ClarityVX, Clarity VX Dereverb, and Accentize Spectral Balance in my chain, and does a better job! I record shaving videos in a small bathroom with a Lav mic, and it does a fantastic job. I just add a bit of EQ and I'm done!

Thank you for a audio-mazing review! I currently use iZotope RX9 Advanced for treating many poor audio recordings to be used for training videos. (My own personal license, not company-paid.) I'm very much looking forward to testing out the free trial.

Yeah it’s pretty neat! I used RX8 advanced for most things, but DeRoom 2 has actually become my go-to de-verbing tool. It’s just so good.

Uggghhh. The bane of my existence. Room Reverb!!! The amount of arm twisting I have to inflict on clients to do some room treatment is unreal. I currently use iZotope RX 10 Advanced and Clarity VX (which also uses machine learning) but wish they would do a better job. They both work great for mild reverb, but everything takes a left turn for more severe reverb. I am not sure DeRoom is any better, but I will try the demo and see if it does a better job. I use the small moves and stacking concept all the time for everything. Great stuff, as always.

check their voicegate, imo, it is better than clarity pro. infact, I like accentize entire line.

Fantastic stuff as always. May have to check out the De-room plugin. Have used RX9's De-reverb and been relatively ok with it. Didn't love the Acusonus ERA4 Reverb remover. For a brief window of time (late 2022/early 2023 the web based Adobe AI podcast tool named Project Shasta was the absolute best for removing reverb and room tone. The Adobe tool was way "too good" and they've since dumbed it down for some reason, and now it sounds very artificial. I'm not sure why they decided to make a great product bad (except for the fact that it was both free and beta and they were still figuring out an acceptable level of alteration at the lowest level of computer processing). Hopefully Adobe or someone else will eventually release a better version of that AI web tool.

That project Shasta was fantastic when I used it, but then it I noticed that it occasionally it makes some weird artifacts/messes up words occasionally, which makes it kind of unusable for me.

@@AndrewHelbig 100%. As a beta product, they are clearly still tweaking the parameters behind the scenes. Whatever they've done has made it unusable for me as well. I hope for improvements in the months to come, but until then I'll check it about every 30 days or so to see if it's better or still too "artificial" sounding with lots of digital artifacts and heavy compression.

bit off topic, but have you ever talked about how you actually get clients for podcasts, and/or how to approach this? maybe you mentioned it in another video as a side note, that's why i ask i'm mainly curious because, i honestly thought that to make decent money editing podcasts, one would absolutely need to edit podcasts in audio as well as video video, but you clearly do audio only, therefore my confusion lol would love to hear more on this
