I have the OG version baja warrior. The foot pegs are upgraded with 1" rolled steel 6" long. I had the same handle bar issue, so I used a trick from my box days and cut strips of an old tube to wrap around the handle bars (could use leather)...worked well. I also love this bikes design, very comfortable for adults. Surprisingly good at climbing hills for a stock Honda 6.5hp. Thanks for the video!

My grand son has a new massimo 200 warrior. The bike runs super and is plenty fast for trail riding. The only problem I have with the bike is the clutch. Within a couple of hours the clutch began to squall. I returned it to the dealer and they were super great. They replaced the clutch assy. It does ok it is just extremely noisey. I have checked 8nto a belt driven torque converter setup which his will get as soon as i can get one here. I love the little bike and plan on getting me one to go trail riding with him in the near future and I am pushing 69 years old.

I just got this bike 'used' today and it's awesome. Since it's used, I really don't know what is considered to be normal or not. When I was a kid when I had my Mini Bikes and they have come a long way as far as size. First off it starts to vibrate at higher almost full throttle speeds. I am not sure if this is to be expected, but it does make me kind of concerned like something isn't quite right. Then I looked closer and the throttle is being held with a zip tie about 1" loop where it connects the cable to near the throttle body . Right under the gas tank so I cant really see what's going on...looks like they did a quick fix and didn't bother replacing a broken cable (that's assuming without getting in closer to see). Ohh and the chains were dry so I just sprayed WD-40 since that's the closest thing I have to an oil...I know it's not really considered oil, but until I get proper oil, I used it. The chains are still quite noisy...I know they were a little back in the day, but I only had a single chain direct to the clutch. Not the extra chain, nor the chain tensioner and spindle. It sounds like a spun bearing to be honest, but the engine sounds great and normal. Are the noises from all the chain stuff normal? Other than that, it's a cool bike and I hope my kids enjoy it as much as I do.
@JT-zn5mg2 жыл бұрын
honestly it sounds like the previous owner didn't really take care of the bike, if your worried about safety I would definitely replace the throttle cable and the chains because they were dry for a long period of time, also what I would do if you have the time is completely tear down the bike because that's a good way of finding problems that aren't surface level, this is what I do and highly recommend when getting a used bike.
@adamnickel41262 жыл бұрын
@@JT-zn5mg thanks so much...ya I was going to eventually do that...I guess it's sooner rather than later... I'm guessing the Jackshaft bearings are the major source. Ill be starting there and doing the teardown.. Thanks for the feedback

The noise from the chain area is normal. The clutch is the culprit. Back in the day a centrifugal clutch had a lining like a brake shoe. These are medal. It is noisey, extremely noisey and I hate it. I am checking on a belt driven torque converter that is supposed to be quite. For around 70 bucks it is worth the shot.

I cannot find these for less that 999 (inflations a pain) - I wouldnt even bother with stage 1 on this motor. I have 2 MB200s, the stock one is faster but the stage 1 has a slightly quicker launch. I have been doing break ins and oil changes the same on both bikes because.. well if Im doing one just do the other. The stage 1 bike has a tick sometimes at idle. Unsure what it is but if it goes it goes. Gas tank storage - best idea imo. Fenders - kid actually the rear broke one so I dont think its that durable. Foot pegs, one broke with a kid thats 100lbs wet - that sucked. I wanted two bikes to ride with my son but stepdaughter got really into it so now I got a 3rd bike but it was not a Massimo. Street cruising, maybe but I plan to have this on gravel roads - wouldnt recommend. I would agree that I would engine swap before I would put money into the stock engine. Any place that carries this bike will have taxes or shipping fees or both - for 1099 I can have a Trailmaster shipped to me. Once it is here then I can see if its as nice as everyone says it is.

yeah they are a little flimsy, but if you just use them for normal riding use they shouldn't be a problem
