Omg I just came across this review and it had me in stitches. I just purchased the Twilly Eau Ginger today and I absolutely love it. I did try the other two but the ginger gave me a happy feeling ☺ and I got the large one for my everyday scent. Your reaction is totally priceless 🤣

I got the travel size twilly eau du ginger just by default buying things for no reason….. chillle when I sprayed that my eyes opened up it just smells like money it smells divine I instantly ordered the bigger one2ml after hearing about the other 2 I feel like I need em all . Love your reviews and channel! Neither Twilly nor Twilly Eau Ginger work for me; I get zero ginger from either and just a non-descript fruity white floral. I got samples of Eau Ginger and was super disappointed it didn't smell that much different to me. A friend also said it smelled very "perfumey." What does work for me is Une Nuit Magnetique by The Different Company, which is also by Christine Nagel. It has ginger, benzoin, patchouli, white florals, and blueberry! The blueberry is brilliant and it has an abstract blueberry crumb ginger spice muffin feel to it. Would love to hear if you've ever tried it!

I had to come back to this video. They didn't have this to sample in my Sephora so I went ahead and bought a travel spray AND GIRL....you were absolutely correct. I too never wanna smell this again. I think it's a cross between extremely mature, laundry detergent, and cat piss!

Me too!!! Black Orchid is one of the first scents I tried that is relaxing to my mood. I adore it. I've found people that like really sweet Gourmands don't like BO, but can tolerate Velvet Orchid. I've tried VO and it's just okay. Too tame. Dua has a scent that is inspired by the 2006 version of BO. It's in my cart.

I have a Twilly D'Hermes sample coming with a Nordstrom order. I had an old gift card and decided I'd get some more mature scents since the gift wasn't going far and I'm not likely to buy most high end perfumes without $$ off and tacked on a few samples and for the value got a free gift and choice of samples. Must resist just spraying myself down if I like any of them. Perfumes are tough when you can't test your chemistry with it. It's bizarre that beautiful smells change or something you like on you could stink to someone smelling you.

@@OpinionatedScents It grew on me. But a very classic floral perfume scent on my skin. Maybe more mature than I would wear yet. I think the "ginger" made me think some other note I didn't get would be there. But not a bad one if someone could afford.

To answer your question at the end: it seems your palette is refined. You seem to really enjoy fragrances that don’t just smell pretty. It’s more so the ones that evoke a feeling, picture, or memory for you.

I love the original Twilly 😍 I oversprayed the last time I wore it though (around my neck plus I was wearing a mask that day) and had the worst headache. So it’s been a minute since I’ve worn it 😔 I need to pull it back out though and try my sample of Eau Poivree.

Oh my goodness, I just found you and I love you already! I got Twilly EauPoivree for Xmas (love!) and just got a sample of the original, which I really enjoy! I wanted to hear opinions of the Eau Ginger. Well, I definately know how you feel about it, lol! I still would like to try it though... You know, sometimes I will get a soapy taste in my mouth when I eat ginger, so I am not suprised that it was a soapy scent for you! I am a new subscriber!!

The realest fragrance reviewer on KZbin lol. I’ll probably still get a sample of this since I’m still curious. I love a ginger note. Tom Fords Black Orchid isn’t my thing. I couldn’t do it. It was too strong for me and I didn’t like the scent. I sold my bottle.

I've only been subscribed a little while but I have learned that you value open discourse and seek to understand the opinions of others. I'm not sure about about your scent pallette yet, but I might suggest that you lean toward modern chypre fragrances and orientals which are lighter. I feel like you are looking for perfumes which create a feeling for you or can link to a scent memory, either past, present, or future.

Since subscribing, I get a lot of insight on what will work well for a more minimal year round fragrance wardrobe. Ok so answer your questions. Personally: you are very laid back, has a funny side. You also are real. Like a straight no chaser type of person. You also don’t have time for the foolishness. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Fragrance wise: you love SWEET fragrances. Ones that are pretty (and pretty can encompass many different types of scents). Your nose is very experienced and you can pick up notes really well unless the fragrance itself is well blended. You do have EDTs but prefer EDP (i think) and you also like beast mode fragrances. You don’t like wearing fragrances to bed and you aren’t a fan of layering because you believe a scent should stand on it own. How did I do?

You are hilarious! I love Twilly d’Hermes though. What I have learned about you is that you will tell it like is when it comes to fragrance. I can’t pick out what scents you like just yet though. I think it’s a wide range and if it smells good to you, you like it.

Hi 👋 The original is a no for me. I do not like the tuberose. I do like the dry down but I don’t want to smell the opening for an hour. I do like ginger though so I actually thought I might like the new one. But cedar is tricky for me. When it’s bad it’s a highly offensive note to me. It sounds like I would like the poivre version. But I would never blind buy this line. You do like some gourmands, some citrus, and some clean scents. You sometimes like tobacco notes. You do not like very masculine scents. And you hate libre edp (one of my favorites).

You have an incredibly sensitive nose, meaning there are some scents I am completely nose blind to and I don’t think you have that because you can describe every little nuance of a fragrance. I wonder if you are noseblind to any smell, because I don’t think you are and that’s very cool and makes you a great reviewer.
