I wanted to make this video to give you guys as much information as possible. I'm very optimistic that Clevver will find a new home in the midst of this unbelievable situation. I don't have all the answers but what I do know is that I'm SO GRATEFUL for all of you. I worked at a place that had a law suit filed against us. We ended up losing the law suit. We had to shut down immediately. I lost my job in a instant. I cried my eyes out. I didn't know what I was going to do. My boss told me that he was going to come up with a new idea as soon as possible. He ended up taking such a long time to come up with something and I could no longer wait for him to open up the new business. I just found a job this week. I'm sad that I had to end my other job so fast without saying goodbye. I'm going in tomorrow to tell my ex boss that I am not longer able to work for him when the new business starts up like I told him I would before. But I'm extremely excited for my new job. I know this job will give me more opportunities in so many ways. The law suit was a blessing in disguise.

I discovered Clevver through beauty break and beauty trippin my sophomore year in high school. Me, my mom, and my sister moved out of a very abusive and traumatic home. After school I would just stare for hours and hours on end trying to process what I went through for the past 5 years of my life. I remember clicking on a beauty break video and smiling for the first time in what felt like an eternity. It was always so nice to come home and watch videos of you, Erin and everyone else on the clever team during that time of my life because it gave me just a few minutes in my day to be distracted from what I was going through and be able to function as a teenager. I’m now a high school graduate who still loves Clevver and watches their content consistently so hearing about this is one of the most heart breaking things ever. I really do hope you all have luck finding new places of work or that Clevver is bought by a new parent company and you can still keep your jobs. I also want to thank all of you for making me laugh during times of sadness, anger, and very real depression. Even though you guys don’t know who I am I want you to understand you all mean so much to me and I love you.

Stopping clevver is terrible. It was one of the first channels I subscribed for when I started using KZbin. Since then I watch Clevver news and Clevver style every day and they are my favorite channels. Later I found about all the others clevver channels and fall in love with them too. I still remember the first video of cleverer that I watched it was with you and Erin- getting dressed for the Grammys. Westley Rage this in a routine way that companies close their doors and or go bankrupt. Even the owners get surprised like this. Normally it’s a poorly run budget that gets out of hand. It’s not bad karma, it’s not the corporate screwing people over it is harsh reality. That’s why having mother companies isn’t the best idea in my opinion

You are a BOSS Jocelyn. I cannot imagine how you and your co-workers are feeling. I have watched Clevver since middle school and I am 20 now. My parents even asked me what type of place I would want to work at in the future and one of the first places that came to mind is Clevver. I would imagine that for all of the businesses that were affected by DEFY, like Clevver/Smosh/etc, that they're going to definitely do their best to continue to release content involving everyone of the particular business, until they're all able to find themselves new homes. I know that logistically, financially, etc, it would be difficult, but I'm pretty sure the fans of each Business that got affected, would be in favor of them all finding a way for them all to create their own "parent company" that would allow them to all continue to do what they each/all did best. I'm sad to hear about this, I loved beauty break i used to watch it when i was going through a hard time and you guys made me laugh. This could mean an ending for something good but a beginning for something greater and i know change can be really scary. Ok, I not no expert...but this sounds similar to the massive white collar crime case in 2002 pertaining to ENRON. I would hope that the a forensic account would look into this case. If possible I would team together with members of other companies or other employees and hire an forensic accountant and file a law suit. Especially if you don't receive your final paycheck also I believe that they broke the WARN act of your state (but, I would double check on that). Also, because there could have been insider trading, tax evasion, embezzlement, or bank fraud. I would also file a law suit. I only say this because sudden closing of doors goes against your rights as an employee and I also find this to very suspicious.. Edit: I also want to say they tricked Anthony and Ian. There is no law for that (at least non that I know of) maybe creating a contract under false pretenses. Also, they owe some previous employees 50-60,000 dollars. I truly believe there is a scandal afoot.
