The first story you cover in this episode is at least the third time i've heard of someone going missing in Canada and where the RCMP have either not bothered to look for the person very much, or they've done weird things, and been secretive while looking for that person. There was another story I heard where a guy was hunting and went missing, and when his friends reported him missing, the RCMP looked a little bit but then decided he wasn't there and that he had left. Even though the guy had been flown in in a float plane. So his friends went looking for him and found parts of his body I believe. Or they found some of his equipment proving that he hadn't just left. Then the RCMP came back and found his body, or the rest of it, or something along those lines. I can't remember the whole story exactly, but I do remember how badly the RCMP acted at the beginning of when the guy went missing. It seriously sounds like the RCMP is lazy, incompetent, and just completely unprofessional. Except for when they are in parades or do funerals for fallen comrades. Then their outfits are spick and span, and they act like they're professionals. Maybe they should spend less time making sure their uniforms are spotless, and spend more time doing their jobs, like they're supposed to. Complete jokes.

I think you’re talking about Bart Schleyer, they didn’t even attempt to find him, another case is in Nahani valley in BC, two men gone missing and the rcmp did a really sloppy job investigating that too. They don’t even attempt looking for missing and murdered indigenous peoples I don’t really get it, is it they don’t know how to begin or maybe being on missing persons detail is where they assign the least experienced officers or that’s where they send them for punishment? I’m sure if we looked we’d find many more. If I was a cop I think I’d find it a challenging but interesting job and bringing closure to the families reward enough.

Hi, Canadian here... you pretty much hit the nail on the head. The RCMP are nearly the most incompetent police I can think of. To the point that I know if myself or 1 of my l9ced one goes missing, is kidnapped or go forbid murdered... unless they catch the culprit red-handed or the evidence spells it out for them, the case will go unsolved. They have more important things to do, like hand out tinted window tickets.

3 shots in a row indicates an emergency of some sort. He was am older guy, perhaps he felt chest pain, or had injured himself and the 3 shots were a plea for help? In my time as a firefighter that searched for people, something as simple as a twisted ankle could be enough to get a person killed in the forest. Older people have more medical issues, and if you camp alone, there is no one to help you. Dying over a sprained ankle is a sad way to go...never camp alone. A second person can go get help while you relax. Thats not even to mention what kind of dangerous stuff is out there just waiting for you to be alone, or fall asleep in your own camp.

Harrison lake is not in the middle of no where. It’s a very popular swimming and camping spot. Very close to civilization. South is Harrison Hot springs a village connected directly to the lake, and 45m by vehicle is several major cities. Harrison lake although, is a very popular place for the loud party type campers and a popular shooting location. There is a lot of bear activity in that area. I don’t know how to explain it but in that area there is also a lot of locals that don’t want out of Towners to be camping there due to being loud and destructive. Source: I live near by.

Tom Messick case that man is underground, they needed to check out all those cave systems underground. Back in the 80's and early 90's we used to go caving and seen a lot of strange things in those caves and they go on for miles some go on to near by states. When Tom friend said he heard a strange noise in the woods that very day, they should have checked for trapdoors around his area he was last seen.

i live in this area and i'll just state a few things there are illegal grow ops in the area ,you only would lock the dogs up for 2 reasons (animal or people threat). belongings not returned by RCMP usually means an open investigation.. grow ops sometimes guarded by armed people hence armed searching.

The story about Jelani: It's not strange that his friends didn't call the police just because he left. He was 24 years old. Someone that age who's visiting a friend's house doesn't need a reason to leave. He's an adult who can go where he wants to without explaining himself. It would be weird if a group of friends called the police just because someone left their house.

Two things. One, there is such a thing as dry drowning. You drown without water getting in your lungs. I forget the exact mechanism. Your throat closes up or something and you get no air in but also no water. Two, the young men in Manchester's canals. There is noone caught pushing people into the canals. @Missing Void Story 1, Ray, leaving the dogs inside means that he went outside briefly perhaps a toilet break. If Ray was going to go for a walk he would have taken the dogs with him. Obviously something happened at the moment he was busy with a toilet break as he would have been easy prey if his pants were down around his ankles.Ray would not let his dogs out while he's doing a toilet break because they might run off into the woods. Having a tactical response group on station means only one thing, there was a threat they were there to subdue. Forcing rescue parties to clean up trash means that they were kept out of the way of harm by either the threat or by friendly fire. The tactical response group was not interested in the disappearance of Ray, to them Ray would have been hunting signs for the threat they were after. If they found both Ray & the threat this tactical response group would have cleaned the area of all traces, Ray's cause of death would then become classified.

Second to last case: GHB. As someone who is very familiar with this substance, once you take it you've got about 30 minutes before you are completely unconscious, that's why it's considered a "date rape" drug. He either wandered off as the GHB was kicking in which would account for his rambling walk all over the area and his subsequent falling into the shallow pond or he was abducted(Smiley Face Killers perhaps), drugged and possibly died due to the amount of GHB that was given to him and then dumped in the pond. Oh, and the reason his friends didn't call the cops is twofold: dude was 24 and they probably thought he just left cuz he was over it and this is the USA, it's not exactly safe for black folks to call the cops, for any reason, you've seen the videos on KZbin, rarely works out for em. To me, that's not suspicious at all for the previous reasons given. Too many of these young men going missing and then ending up deceased in a random body of water to be a coincidence. Hinky af.

29:20 Total shot in the dark (pun incoming): Considering that there were suspicions of foul play. The described "crack" could have been a suppressed shot. Even when suppressed, you can still hear the supersonic "crack" of a bullet passing the sound barrier (unless it's a subsonic bullet). To add to that, the direction of suppressed shots is often misjudged because the sound that actually reaches your ear might be an echo and not from the original position of the shot. Mountains and Hills have a tendency to "reflect" these supersonic cracks, so it might have sounded like it came from 150 yards up the hill, even though it was actually shot downhill.

He may have left the dogs in the camper for their safety since it was night thinking they may run after whatever it was, or not be able to find them in the dark if they did go after "it". If just doesn't sound like it was a human predator since Ray most likely could have handled a situation with a human.

In the missing hunter story, the description of that mystery noise sounds like it could have been a very well suppressed self-loading firearm. It’s a really pulpy explanation, but with big enough a suppressor the loudest sound from a shot is the gun’s action cycling, and the noise it makes is essentially the incredibly quick sound of the bolt slamming back and forth. It could also explain the fbi interest, if the suspected someone was out in the woods shooting people with a silenced weapon, even if that’s not what the sound turned out to have been.

I don't see a lot of coverage of Jelani Brinson on here. I helped John Lordan look into it several years ago. One thing to remember about GHB, it's a depressant. The quote you used about it mentions disorientation and unconsciousness, but it can also lead to death. It causes the body's systems and organs to slow down to the point of non-function. I have a working theory/hypothesis about cases where these circumstances keep occurring. I think it's a party prank. I think they're spiking these guys' drinks with GHB, but they're over dosing them, which is easy to do when you factor in alcohol. If you don't know how much a person has had to drink already, it is very easy for even a small amount of GHB to be lethal. I believe his the people at this house party accidentally killed him, kept his body somewhere, then dumped him.

My only issue with missing411 cases is that I feel like people who research and analyze them look at relatively minor details of a case and then blow them up into something suspicious, but also disregard environmental reasons for such details. Case and point, a fully armed SWAT team with automatic rifles in one of these cases. I don't know why this seems suspicious, because when you take in the amount of people searching, and the potential likelihood of something like bears, drug growers, and the like, it makes sense that they'd bring out big guns. Though you could, I highly doubt you'd want to only have a bolt action hunting rifle if you're with a group of people and the local grizzly bear decided to have a go at them. Something that fires faster would certainly be more reassuring in that instance. Now, as for the FBI, though it isn't common for them to take an interest, at least openly in a case, that doesn't mean that it still isn't their job. And if the disappearance happens in a place that has a disproportionate amount of them, or potentially has a rather shady history, then there's only so far the FBI could reasonably ignore it they do have to do their job. And lastly, withholding items of the missing person. I can understand why this can be an issue, but bear in mind, a disappearance is still suspicious until the person or body is found. As a result, everything at the scene is evidence, and evidence isn't given away until the case is solved or closed permanently. After all, people touching items considered evidence tends to really be a large hindrance for investigators and can lead to dead ends, so until they can conclusively say the case is closed, the items are withheld because they could contain substantial evidence, and it simply just hasn't been found or detected yet. This doesn't mean suspicious or strange things happen in these cases; they absolutely do, but minor details being blown up tends to obscure the larger narrative and leads to conspiracy theories, which are just as if not more dangerous than anything in the woods.

It isn't "ejecting shells." It is "firing shots." Ejecting shells means they are working the action of the firearm to remove unfired cartridges from the firearm. It isn't just a semantical thing. The two things are very different. If he was "ejecting shells," that would mean he worked the action, thereby unloading, in essence, the firearms. Firing/shooting is not the same as ejecting. In one, you would only hear the mechanism of the firearm working. Not terribly loud and odd to do repeatedly. Firing would be WAY louder, and results in holes being formed in things. If you are using a firearm, you typically eject a shell to unload a firearm to make it safe. Firing a shell/cartridge is far different.

The story about Jalani Brinson, makes me wonder how clean were his socks when they found his body? Since his body had been in the pond for at least a couple of days, they must of been somewhat dirty from being on his body while it's decaying, and being in dirty pond water. Is it possible that he took his socks off too when he took his boots off? That's if it was him who took his boots off. But maybe when he took his boots off he ended up taking his socks off too, but didn't ditch them for some reason. Then maybe he put them back on and then fell in the water and the shock of the water caused him to dry drown. Even though they said he had died before he fell in the water. Maybe they were mistaken and just figured he had died before hand, since there wasn't water in his lungs when they found him. He was walking across a golf course, so maybe that's why his socks didn't seem dirty. But they're probably would of been grass stains on his socks, unless they weren't white socks and so the stains didn't show up. It seems like there could possible be foul play. But if he didn't have any injuries, and his toxicology screen was clean, then how could someone of killed him?

Hello, love your channel. Now I have heard of Tom Messick disappearance many times over the last years and regarding the FBI involvement, fist they had not been called in and the agents that were sent in was to ONLY document the search and any findings from it. The FBI has in fact shown up at many other missing persons cases that for into the 411 type cases for the same reason to doxument findings from any searches conducted. Now, it's also interesting that the main agent involved in those documented case to the FBI committed suicide some years later, just what the FBI was looking for and what they had known about what was involved in those cases was never clearly stated but it is supported that it troubled the agent that took his life.

I think if the FBI was already investigating a kidnapping, human or drug trafficking, or something else, they would investigate just to make sure the cases weren’t related. I don’t think it is that weird for them to jump in. They would also be involved if it involved federal land. A second point is, to find a body officials need specially trained cadaver dogs. These are hard to come by and totally different from regular search dogs. Some places, like in the UK, have much stricter restrictions on human remains, which are needed to train the dogs. Pig remains do not do the job. I know they like to assume people are still alive - but if we had more of these dogs and employed them sooner we might find people sooner.

Ive had nights like this where you split up from your friends group for no reason just to realize you're super lost and super drunk when you come out of the black out. An ET who posts 3 times a week in Spanish & English claimed that in North America the Sasquatch are known to hunt ppl for food, the Sasquatch live underground in natural tunnel systems all over. These Sasquatch frequently come above using something similar to that of a trap door spider's door but only much larger weighing over a ton or more. The fact that there were no wildlife in the area could be put down to Sasquatch hunting in the area or that they had driven all the wildlife out of that area because one of their entrances was nearby. The noise that the hunter heard may have been a trap door being closed after one or more of the Sasquatch's returning back into their tunnels with human food. One would need to research into deaths relating to Sasquatch attacks to see how often these things happen.

Its my belief that a faction of squatchs (Ones with red backlit eyes} are working with nefarious beings that are using cloaking/portal technology to abduct humans for all kinds of sickening purposes!! These so called Et's I believe are trestrial and have been here many thousands of years way before humans. Any way you cut it this whole thing is super fucked up and wrong!!

When your talking about Jalani Brinson, you bring up why his friends didn't contact emergency services when he walked away, and after they looked for him for like an hour. Most people aren't going to contact the police when an adult just walks away while in a neighborhood, and while nothing seems dangerous or that weird. Even if they had contacted the police and told them that their friend had just walked away, the police probably aren't going to do anything. I mean what are you really going to tell the police anyway? My friend decided to leave without saying goodbye, and walked away in the neighborhood and he's only been gone about an hour? Yeah, the police are probably just going to tell you that he's probably just gone home, or that he met up with someone else and left. Since he is a full grown adult without any known mental or handicap issues. Like the saying goes, hindsight is always 20/20. I'm sure his friends weren't that worried either. Because what are the chances that your friend walks away while in the middle of a neighborhood, then disappears and is then found dead? It's not that likely to happen. I've had friends do almost the same thing before and we weren't worried, and they've always ended up totally fine. Your thoughts on some of these things that happen are, how do I put this gently, just plain dumb. Not just with this case but on other cases too. It's like your forgetting that hindsight is always 20/20 like I said before. Or you say something like "that doesn't make sense why he would do that", but it's like you've forgotten that the person was drunk and high, like the guy who went missing in Manchester and was then found in the canal. The guy was drunk and high, so who knows what he was thinking, or why he might of done what he did.

At 52:59 you say that it doesn't make any sense for him to of crossed over a bridge, then gone down the far side of the canal, and then to try and climb over a six foot fence. But you've got to remember he wasn't in the right state of mind. He was drinking, and he took some other sort of substance, some sort of pills I think you said. Whatever those pills might of been, whether it was xanax, pain killers like lortab, Percocet, etc, or ecstacy, muscle relaxant like somas, or barbiturates. Any of those drugs mixed with alcohol could definitely make you not think straight, possibly make you confused, and also lead to you falling in a canal and drowning. Also if he fell in the canal he could of sank to the bottom and then not come to the surface until his body filled with gases to bring him to the surface. He also could of dry drowned, which there would be no water in the lungs if that happened. Just the shock of the change in temperature from falling in water, plus possibly mixed with the alcohol and drugs could of caused that to happen. So I don't think there's that much of a mystery here, and I don't think there was a another person involved that killed him. Unless someone just pushed him in, and the shock of hitting the water while intoxicated caused dry drowning. But I really don't think someone pushed him in. I think it was just a sad case of misadventure while intoxicated.

You kept saying that since the FBI was there, there must have been foul play. But the statement you read explaining when and why they might get involved did not support that. The statement said that they would also get involved if asked by local authorities. And that's what happened. An 82 year old man with a vast array of health conditions walked alone to his post in the woods. It's not a big surprise how or why he ended up dead. People found his hardware in the woods and stole it. Or he fell with it into a sink hole or pond. Or it's still there under layers of leaves.

It seems like so many people go missing (drown) in canals that they might even consider making the canals easier to get out of. Knowing where all the cameras are would make it very easy to commit crimes like pushing people into the canal. An official that is corrupt would be a good guess, if nothing else.

Somebody probably stole his gun and made it look like he was being irresponsible, but, it was actually the guy that really stole his equipment and locked his dogs in the camper. (just to confuse the issue) Hopefully he was not harmed. Somebody found him and maybe falsely befriended him, then took advantage of his kindness right there. (even possibly a Ranger or a Ranger impersonator!!!) Soo strange!!

Hello again, well let me start by asking a question. If you were to remove the 411 cases out of the national parks and the woods and place then on a urban area you would start to see cases like these that have been going on the last 20 or year now. let's assume that no one is going to take GHB knowingly so you start having cases like the two young men you talked about. In the US many young successful men have been missing from clubs with our their friends knowing when or how they left. They are missing for weeks or months and the search for them does nothing, dogs don't track them and they are found dead in water, but they have not been in the water or dead for the whole time missing, David P. Has covered several cases like this in the US and it sounds like it also going on in the UK Manchester area as well. It might be interesting to note that at least in the US GHB is not tested for during toxic screens at autopsies though there does seem to be some level of alcohol ingested before death, but they all had been at a bar with friends just before going missing so not a surprising fact. It's all very strange and seems to defy logic how these young men go missing without a trace.

New to this whole 411 stuff and I’m sure there are more learned people about it than me so I just want to inquire about the searches for these folks that vanish. I agree that something unconventional is likely a foot but what? Anybody ever search using methods you wouldn’t think typical or expected to be used? The dog not smelling them is weird. I don’t know enuf about dogs to comment but I do know enuf to say sometimes people’s choice of words when they make a statement of fact has the effect of masking volumes of highly precise & specific information that can help get to the bottom of what’s really going on. Either that or teenagers have left me jaded.

Tom messick Was a military veteran other than an expert hunter. Its strange that his disappearence is due of foul play if there are no signs of struggle or ponds of blood whoever attacked him was human or animal(if that was the case)
