So glad I finally got this video completed. As you can tell compared to my previous videos, I'm using a new editing software, and it took me a hot minute to learn. Between that and some other stuff I had going on, it took me a while to get this vid up, but here it is!

I love MBT's deck. Though I am very biased in favor of Mekk Knights being played. 28:00 Fun fact: attacking Driver is always a bad idea. No sane person is going to play more than one Driver, and Gamma can summon a Driver from GY but not from banishment. So attacking Driver and putting it in the GY potentially turns on any future copies of Driver your opponent has drawn. It is very unlikely to ever come up, but I have been bitten by this before. It's one of those mistakes that you learn to only make once. Also in that game, UCT and Construct's effects should have both gone off, since they both trigger at the start of damage step. Construct is mandatory so it's CL1, then UCT is CL2, and then they both resolve. It wouldn't have mattered though, because Daibak was just too good. The new editing software seems to be working well for you. You could probably turn the background music down a bit though. Fun games, glad to see you uploading again.

Thanks man! Yeah ik attacking driver was a bad move, I was just messing around bc I was salty over getting gamma'd twice. Didn't end up making a huge diff in the end either way. As for the UTC/Construct business, yeah, both of us weren't paying mega close attention to how cards worked this game. As someone else pointed out, Daibak never should have returned to MBT's hand, and I showed very little understanding of the proper dino combo line.

@@whambamduel Yeah, I saw the other comments about misplays, and yeah, it happens and is part of the game. Especially when you have two people on decks that they've probably never used before. Just last weekend at my locals, I was playing against someone who is sometimes a judge, and I managed to convince him that one of his cards worked differently from how he thought. And when we looked it up after the game, we found out I was wrong. In my defense, it was a very unintuitive ruling, and playing it correctly would have actually made the game easier for me.

@@TheLetterJ0 Yeah, sometimes when playing with my brother, we will absolutely stop the game for a ruling's dispute as long as it takes. We were playing some Edison and I used Enemy Controller to take his Koa'ki Meiru Guardian. He was under the impression that Enemy Controller's effect would end, transferring Guardian back to me before it would destroy itself for me not having any rocks in my hand during the End Phase. I nearly believed him too, but we spent about 10 minutes looking up the ruling just because I wanted to be sure, and it turns out I was right. He lost his Guardian that turn, and the duel soon after. I guess if anything, it shows how competitive I can get against my brother compared to how little I pick up on when dueling MBT or other guests lol

Daibak only returns to the hand when special summoned. Don't Dimension Summons count as normal summons?

Dimension Summons do count as normals, however... Daibak clearly reads: "If this card is *Normal or* Special Summoned..."

@@whambamduel yes, it bounces 2 cards on Normal or Special Summoned. But it only returns itself to the hand in the End Phase if it was Special Summoned. So it isn't as repeatable. Still probably ban worthy.

@@Rick_Rolland Oh I misread your comment. Yeah that's absolutely right. But both of us were basically misplaying the whole game lol, so I don't blame either of us for missing it. Definitely still banworthy considering dark destroyer being hit. 3000+ATK normal summons that get a bonus on normal or special such as popping or bouncing a card(s) are definitely banworthy in DD.

14:10 I'm confused, it seems like you had full combo. You could have popped the baby and the pterodactyl with true king and resolved both baby and petite effect for two dinos from the deck at which point you could worse case end on a dolkka and best case end on a full board

Truth of the matter is that it was my first time playing Dino with no prior experience. I picked it because it was a deck that was already good in the format and had a decent number of high level monsters. My goal was to see how well a pre-existing deck could adapt, with the downside of pretty much trying to learn the deck on the fly. I underestimated the combo and figured that it was a popular deck, so the combo would be easy for me to navigate. I was wrong.

If both of us missed that, then both of us missed that. I drolled, and remembered to make sure he didn't search off of Blue Sky, and then completely forgot about droll the rest of the turn after that as it was no longer the top card in my graveyard after Lost World got popped. Out of sight, out of mind, as it were. But there were a lot of misplays lol. He forgot to get his nightfall back, and I forgot to dimension summon my True King when I had Ultimate Tyranno up, which would have won me game 2, but probably wouldn't have won if he had remembered the nightfall- no way of telling how the game would have been different if we both played perfectly. Luckily, even though we're playing comp decks, we were not in a comp setting. Things can go awry, but we both still had fun, and that's what matters most in the end.

7:10 why not summon a baby off baby instead of a petite?

Because I am not super familiar with this deck, I was just looking for a deck that was competitive around the time and had a good amount of monsters I could dimension summon. I am not typically a dino player, and am not super familiar with the deck's combo lines.
