An Impressive Expanded Firefight Mod In Halo 2

Hey man creator here, was wondering where all the sudden boom in subscribers I got recently on the mod came from, and i'd also like to say thank you for making another video on the mod man I appreciate it alot helps gives me motivation to continue. Genuinely feels heartwarming to watch people enjoying the mod I put alot of time into; not to mention the creators of the tags having their hard work being finally shown off more. Not alot of videos are done on H2 let alone mod vids (that isn't campaign lol.) I am working on another update coming super soon, latest by Halloween that will add two new weapons being the Infinite MA40 and VK78 brought to you by RPA60 and Zoephie. Also some finally good pathfinding on Waterworks when it comes to those side passages (won't be safe to camp there anymore) as the flood will now use it as a flanking route to the main base and attack from multiple angles when hanging out inside. Also reworked the allies firing points/pathfinding when it comes to those areas as well for better reliability. Also have added several new areas/zones for the sentinels. Like the center bridge area so they will fly over the gorge and shoot at ya (if on the bridge ofc) also to both bases and center structure they will be able to fly inside and pursue their targets if they want. Oh and btw, don't forget to turn off the reinforcement switches when you hit them so after cooldown they don't auto come in again and potentially braindead all the AI on map cuz it's too much. I've taken steps to mitigate that as much as possible last few updates but ultimately the player has to be the one to make sure it doesn't happen. New update should also solve ai going braindead sometimes when Heretics spawn on Waterworks as i've added alot more ai_living_count commands and checks for it before they spawn.

@@darklucario7214 I'd like to get another out by the end of the year or very soon after. I am working on additional maps whilst trying to keep my mental health up. The Flood Firefight maps take quite a lot of work to do, at least for me; next map will really test me for what I'd like to do. Which will be on Danger Canyon from H1. I'll get to Containment eventually as I like that map alot too. Just trying to not get burnt out, for perspective i've put in 820 hours into H2's mod tools so far.

I've always enjoyed thinking about how classic games like Halo 2 would have turned out if Bungie was given unlimited time and resources to execute on all of their ambitions.

The stencil engine version of H2 that they couldn't get running right on the retail original Xbox hardware has been a long running fascination of mine

That’s cool. It’s pretty crazy how Bungie originally wanted the multiplayer to be something like this where it’s basically Halo 5’s Warzone (one of the few genuinely good things in 5. Too bad the rec packs dragged it down). I hope someone makes a lower poly version of those 3 and Reach guns to make them fit in better with Halo 2’s art style. They don’t entirely look right in the previous games. I’ll definitely try this out when I get the chance.

Apart from halo reach covies, i always thought halo 2 had the best overall ai particularly the allies. They were actually helpful. Glad to see 2 getting some love

The classic CE assault rifle in Halo 2 is awesome and seeing the marines with that eye patch is awesome. I think it would be cool if you added a halo 2 version of the brute chieftain,like the Brute honor guards but with a halo 2 gravity hammer.

You know what will be so cool for any HALO mod? How about a companion Sentinel variant, in which beams back any weapon you want back to your base? If you especially need, say, a weapons stash, the Sentinel's there for the job. :)
