Thank you so much Zahir. What a remarkable place! Though I'm just viewing the church via a virtual tour, I can feel the sanctity - the spiritual connection which is overwhelming. I follow all the archeological excavations taking place in Israel and I always say that on whatever stone you stumble on in Israel, there's a treasure trove of history beneath it! I love Israel! Mary Magdalena holds a special place in my heart... She was a remarkable woman, who understood the Lord's mission fully. It's no wonder when the disciples asked Jesus 'why' it was that He spoke to Mary in a more 'intellectual way (I'm paraphrasing here), Jesus told them that they wouldn't understand if He spoke to them the same way... There is more to Mary Magdalena than meets the eye. I can't begin to imagine what a profound role she played in building the body of Christ after the Ascension. Thank you for your great tour Zahir. I'd love to meet you one day in Israel. I hope soon after the pandemic, if God allows. I live in Cyprus, just an hour's flight away!!! God bless.

This is so interesting. In 1975, we visited the ruins of a small synagogue near the Sea of Galilee. It was very small and the name of Jesus was found in the stone. Our guide said it might be dated to the first or second century. I am getting old and I have lost my papers and pictures for the trip I made to the Middle East in my many moves. This reminded me of that time and I am sure it was north of Tiberias, but this is much more excavated. They were doing a major dig just south of this place. Thanks again, Zahi, this is refreshing my memory. I will be watching many of your videos.

Hi there Zahi. Yes, Magdala is a beautiful place in deed. Father Eamon Kelly who is based there hosts an amazing daily sunrise on line stroll and chat by the sea of Galilee every morning except for today 30/10/21 when he had other duties to attend to. Also the actor (Robert Powell) Who played the part of Jesus In the brilliant 1977 film (Jesus of Nazareth} was also filming a documentary ( The real Jesus of Nazareth} decades later, where he takes a journey through modern Israel in an attempt to reconstruct the story of the man who changed history. Robert Powell was filmed being interviewed seated close to the icon of Judas Iscariot inside the church (Duc In Altum} to the right of the entrance, a program worth watching. Than you for yet another brilliant video. Zahi, take care out there my friend.

October 30, 2021 Zahi Shaked good morning, another wonderful tour, Zahi, you really caught me unprepared this morning, we are up north today. Magdala, (" tower of greatness "), Migdal, Dalmanutha, located on the westside of the Sea of Galilee, at the widest point. A tiny port hamlet, for fishermen. Magdala was one of the sites, that Josephus fortified, when he was governor of Galilee. There are many men called Josephus, just as there are many men called Jesus, just as there are many women called Mary. History is very, very complex. Ancient History is even more complex. Zahi Shaked we have discovered, or probably rediscovered, what we have already learned. That Flavius Josephus the historian of the book, WARS OF THE JEWS page 497 paragraph 4.) They also chose other generals for Idumea. ... Josephus the son of Matthias, of both the Galilees. Gamala also, which was the strongest city in those parts, was under his command. End of Quote. Flavius Josephus page 609 paragraph 9.) As for myself, I have composed a true history of that whole war. ... End of Quote.

Without the betrayal of Jesus he would have never risen from the Tomb. Does this mean that Judas was actually a hero? Just something I have questioned for awhile. How does Israel view Judas, hero or enemy? No offence intended toward anyone this is just a curosity.
@zahishaked3 жыл бұрын
You are so right.

I see you are immersed in the Biblical subject, but the direction is not good. "Abgar, King of Edessa, rebukes the emperor Tiberius, declaring the injustice of Pilate, and being offended at the crucifixion of Jesus" (Hist. Eccl. I. 13-15). Moses Chorenei adds the following information to Eusebius' statement: "In Edessa, King Abgar founded a huge library and also brought here the library of the Nisib Sun Temple ... a pair (copy) of his letter to Emperor Tiberius, which he wrote for the works and deity of Jesus, as well as other letters in his archives." (Moses Chorenei: "Stories of Armenians", 2.k.10. And 37. f.) With the reported data, the following assumptions can be made true: 1.) We learn that Abgar, as the ruler of the kingdom of Adiabene, was an informant to Emperor Tiberius in the reconnaissance of the assassination of Jesus and the people involved. As a result, he handcuffed Pilate and his accomplices, the princes of the synagogue, to Emperor Tiberius in Rome - as the published apocryphal gospel writes. 2.) This gospel states that Mary Magdalene protests with Emperor Tiherius personally about the assassination of Jesus as a relative of Jesus. (For only a relative (brother, parent, or wife) could "refer" to the emperor for the sake of truth, according to Roman law.) Thus, Mary Magdalene could be taken to Emperor Tiberius by a diplomatic mission organized by Abgar and keeping the protocol. 3.) Abgar, as the ruler of the kingdom of Adiabene, formalized Mary Magdalene as the spouse of our Lord Jesus, because only as a "spouse" could he protest against the unjust judgment of the Roman governor Pontius Pilistus, his supreme lord. Thus, we are slowly discovering the hidden affairs and we must also think that the princes of the Adiabene kingdom as governors, rulers may have been there in the cities within the borders shown on the map, so KALAKH (Nimrud) and MOSSUL were also under such rule. Just as SAMARIA (Galilee), temporarily annexed to the Parthian Monarchy, received its governor at the time, in the person of Mary's father, Prince Adiabene Nakeb. But that Edessa may have been the recognized capital, I suspect that the aforementioned German Gutschmidt publishes in his book an order of reigns over the kings of Edessa and here SANATURK (AD 71-91) reigning after Vl. Abgar (AD 71-91). 91-109) specifically refers to him as the "King of Adiabene".
