My favorite thing about these videos is that instead of glossing over the majority of the game and pointing out the good and bad, you went into such immense detail about every single thing and essentially provided a perfect walkthrough for each game. That’s an astounding amount of effort that will likely only be appreciated by a handful of people, but just know these videos were both profoundly appreciated regardless. Thank you for making these videos. Have you seen the Tomba remaster news? Any thoughts, hopes, or dreams?

From the information we have it seems like the Carbon Engine will be providing faithful emulation that's available on modern platforms with the ability to make minor tweaks. It's yet to be seen what if anything will be changed beyond that, but it seems to be getting a new OST at the very least, but UI updates and a retranslated script seem possible.

You know, I just noticed in regards to the treasure chest keys, each NPC that either gives you a key or access to one, has a swash of that color on their person. Kainen’s red hat, The adventurer’s green leaf garb, The painter’s blue fruit, and the artisan Dangerfield’s white robe. I just thought that was neat, intentional or no.

27:47 When I was a kid I was genuinely fascinated by that path back there that you *never* traverse. For the longest time I thought it was a path you unlock for more of the game, and once I clocked the game I realized that you can't go there at all. Man that seemingly innocuous background detail got my mind racing with what could be back there. Then I learned how games were made and became just a little bit more disillusioned with how there's just nothing. A bit of magic just evaporated from the world. I get nostalgic every time I play an open-world game and hit the border. Also hi fellow kiwi.

This have to be the most detailed review/walkthrough of one of my favorite games of all time. Thanks!!! I played Tomba! 2 before Tomba! so that´s why I didn´t have problem with the first mining section, I thought it was cool. But I hated the gnome section in Tomba where you fight those annoying purple green spiders hahaha. The whole style of this franchise, weird lore and exotic world design is what video games need. With today software they could´ve expand the levels in this world, adding more sections to every level. They could´ve exploit the verticality of the waterfall section and the donglin forest, for example. Also, when I cross Baron for the first time, I thought that some creature/Boss in this section had transformed all the habitants in rock statues like medusa or something like that. I thought I would encounter more NPCS being petrified with their smiling or crying faces, so it hunted me the notion that I will facing a more spooky section of the forest, but no... The donglin forest and the kujara ranch themes are one of the best ever composed. Tommy Wiseau laugh is spot on hahaha The circus town is the worst level of this game The crystal guy voice is the same one they use for the broken pot guy And OMG incredible spot on your ideas to make the boss battles better 😎

Based on the Carbon Engine they're using, it's likely it's gonna be a straight port without overhauling the second half to include the cut content. Though what changes they do make are gonna be interesting since that engine apparently gives them the ability to alter some in-game assets like sounds, sprites and the UI.

26:20 5FPS of 30FPS is about 15% so it is very noticeable, that being said TOMBA/I 2 like many games of that era was poorly converted to PAL 25FPS, if the game was properly converted the game wouldn't be slower just slightly choppier for lack of a better, the difference would be far less noticeable but this usually was a lot of work as the frame rate was often tied to the game speed, so a proper conversion was rare, only game I can think of that was properly converted was Gex 3.
@rara35389 ай бұрын

@BlueKunai2 жыл бұрын
I always saw them as berries since in the first game the stalks were all curly, though I guess that's fitting with the whole Pig motif. Fruit might be a more accurate description since the item Charles gives you to increase your max health looks like either a giant berry or a bunch of little fruits stuck together like how bananas grow.
@DistalSoul2 жыл бұрын
@@BlueKunai yeah, they’re referred to as simply fruits on all the wikipedias and such. Another point to add on this is in the first game, when you pick them up they sound sort of squishy, which would suggest berries, but in Tombi 2 it makes a chomping noise almost akin to chomping an apple? Who knows!

The second game of "Who's the Liar?" is simple. Let's call the girls 1 2 and 3 and xi means girl i is honest, while ~xi means girl i is a liar. Let's say 1 says 2 is a liar. It can be that either she is a liar (~x1) or she is telling the truth and 2 is a liar (~x2): • ~x1 or ~x2 2 says 3 is honest: • ~x2 or x3 3 says 1 is a liar: • ~x3 or ~x1 Now you know just one may be a liar if we consider girl i an actual liar then ~xi is True and xi is False. On the other hand if girl i is honest xi is True and ~xi is False. Furthermore in sentences where there are just "or" we know that they are true if at least just one of their elements is true. Lets consider the first a liar and the others honest and we obtain • True or False = True • False or True = True • False or True = True That's the solution all statements are true 👍 Let's consider the second a liar and the others honest, we obtain: • False or True = True • True or True = True • False or False = False Not a solution, there is a false statement 👎 And for the final case • False or False = False • False or False = Fals3 • True or False = True Not a solution, two false statements 👎
