This game is more like Left 4 dead (especially with friendly fire activated then makes more funny for killing your teammates).

Well L4D is story-driven, tho This is pretty much like Deep Rock Galactic: You chose location, get in and do the thing. It CAN turn to a Lethal Company but here's the recipe for it: 1. Be a new player without much stratagems or knowlege of how things done. 2. Get to the Automaton front on a Helldive difficulty. 3. Be constantly paranoic because of bots screetches all around and crawl the whole mission cuz any encounter will escalate into a robocalypse.

so to explain how the game works, its story mode, but not CoD story mode. think of it as a real war, where the events are happening live and your efforts shape the outcome of the warfronts to further the goals of managed democracy. at the head of it all controlling all of the factions and the entire war itself is a dungeon master called joel (every D&D player gooned so hard right now), and he is the literal god of this game, our goal is to trample all over his ambitions and to spread managed democracy throughout the galaxy, whether they like it or not. think arma 3's private servers hosting grand campaigns... meets planetside 2's territory control system... meets halo odst's hell jumpers (which the helldivers name and elite soldiers are heavily inspired from)... meets the original novelization of starship troopers (where the soldiers were deployed on drop pods instead of giant dropships like in the movie), and you'll get the gist of it. its extremely satirical so dont take its totally justified politics too seriously and just have fun fighting for freedom, for liber-tea, and for managed democracy, for super earth.

battlefeild and starwars battlefront are nearly mechanically identical, if they joined it would just be battlefeild set a thousand years or so in the future. They aren't like helldivers 2 AT ALL.

@@BigHolla There's a dev from the Arrowhead team who messes around with the Galactic War like a DM. The WHOLE community is basically fighting just him. Apparently it's just one dude called Joel, so if he decides that, say, a difficult planet like Malevolon Creek that just got taken... is invaded by more robots AGAIN, he can just do that lol. It's been hilarious, folks been praying to this guy like "JOEL IF YOU ACTUALLY EXIST, DROP A BILE TITAN ON MY HEAD RIGHT NOW."
