Great info! Skied A-Basin back in the late 80s, it was incredible, but would I love to ski it now with Montazuma dnd the Beavers. Only Summit County mountain I'd ski visit again.

Only one worth visiting lol. Tbh... With an Ikon pass it makes more sense. Steamboat has gotten quite a bit better with their latest lift upgrades.

These are very helpful. Thanks! Most of this resort is past my ability level right now, unfortunately.

can you explain why the “normal” trail map that you used in this vid shows all of those closed areas on the east wall with only a few named lines, whereas the much more specialized East Wall map on a bay’s website shows all the other unmarked chutes like sex favors, hidden chute, and birthday chute, despite these being located in the areas shown as closed? i’ve wondered forever why they’re on the map if the areas are closed but i can’t figure it out

They're closed to the general public (there are closed signs in-person), but if you get clearance from ski patrol ahead of time, you can ski them.

Bro did no justice for the orifice-puckering factor of the steep gullies.
