I lived in Bensonhurst in the late 70s early 80s. These guys were literally the protectors. As a young woman, i never felt unsafe. I had a problem with my landlord son threw a brick through my window. The men from the club on the corner found out. They brought him to the club and spoke with him, and i never had another problem. I never had to ask for help they just helped! They knew everything that happened in their neighborhood!

Filling communities with illegal drugs and murdering people without any investigation many of whom were cases of mistaken idenity and I've never heard of any of them refunding the victim's family for their funeral expenses. No payments for the support or education of the victim's children. They will murder someone who won't pay extortion or reports them to the police.

mark isnt having it. all he wants to here is some vicious crime stories. he doesn’t want to hear that these people were actually decent normal people and not the animals the movies and media has made them out to be.

What happens is that people live in the past. They pass this mindset on to their kids but don’t realize that the world changes and you can’t raise your kids the way your parents raised you. So no one progresses in maturity and it’s kids raising kids. When no one grows up they really don’t understand what it’s like to take responsibility and be accountable for your actions.

Anything.Chris Columbo I listen…one of my favorite mob oral history story teller Mark interviews. I like Chris…he’s like my Clemenza…yes, criminal, but big heart…so many gems…pick a side, accept consequences, cooperative but don’t cooperate. Last name worked for me and against me, put a bulls eye on me. Your only as good as your last deed, make it a good one. You can’t trade your suffering or pain to hurt another and give them suffering or pain, doesn’t help you. Don’t say anything that would hurt someone else by your words. Ha! I named my pets Doozy batz, gelato, Gennaro…Italiano! Life is perspective. Men are supposed to be tough. Sicilian women too! I agree people feel powerless, no one’s happy, the world’s a shakedown, and I miss the morality of my grandparents. I may not always tell the truth but I don’t lie. Exactly, if we don’t have something nice to say we don’t say anything, be a gentlemen, maybe lie through omission to some. The theme over and over, do the right thing, respect, honor.

Hey Mark, you know the theme song for your channel is totally Jane Says but Jane’s Addiction. I know this might be an odd video to post this on but it’s just so true. I know, rights, money etc etc. But you might be surprised if u talk to them. Hell you should interview them. They are so LA.

I'll tell you right now if more people are raised with this guy's morals and beliefs the world would be a much much much better place so I don't have a clue who his dad is but his dad had to be a good man

NYC used to be a good place. One hand washes the other… you had people watching your back. People knew what the word RESPECT meant. Mama Mia! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I was a girlfriend of one of these fellas and they always kept the streets clean not like the chaos happening today. The City is out of control now.

Very interesting interview. With all due respect I think he should see an audiologist. He seemed to have difficulty hearing you many times. Easy to address.
