Thank you! I find the integration of the home into the landscape to be better understood viewing it from the inside-out rather than the outside-in. This approach isn’t always the typical strategy. However, what it created is a variety of "intimate" spaces both indoors, and out, that seem really lovely to inhabit. A human connection to nature is so important, and this place has captured that.

Thank you for such a thoughtful reflection. Fostering the human connection to nature is definitely what makes this space so special 🙌

Panorama House is such a stunning example of how modern design can harmonize with nature. The way Jen Mendelson and the team have embraced the natural landscape and focused on creating a connection with the outdoors is inspiring. The use of glazing and simple built forms really highlights the breathtaking views of the Flatirons. I love how the layout creates private, intimate spaces while still feeling open and connected

I love the warm tone of the house. It gives a feeling of cozyness. I noticed though that design wise, It reminds of a resort in Bhutan with the wood panelling and the intentional framing of the views

The architecture and interior design are beautifully integrated and harmonizes with the site location. Someone else made a comment about its square footage. For some reason it does feel excessive, kinda gluttonous. Perhaps the objective was to impress? If so, this was achieved many times over. The sprawl feel to a residence can sometimes feel less intimate, less warm & inviting. Thank you for the post.

I’m a 38 years experienced real estate broker in Québec Canada and I wonder how much a house like that could cost there? $3, 5, 10, 20, 35 millions? It’s surely the kind of location we don’t have here. I would be a taker for sure.
@socalstr14 күн бұрын
$5M so maybe $7.5M Canada bucks. Boulder isn’t too expensive real estate wise and labor is readily available and reasonable with Denver nearby. You’ll want to start the project in maybe April and hope to finish it by December before the big snows came through. This was also a reno so a lot of the heavy lifting with utilities and hard permitting were already done for you.
@jwernst6 күн бұрын
$5M is about what the land is worth. This home is easily worth $10-12M

Beautiful, but why build such a monster of a house? Smaller would be smarter especially if you want to honor nature...
@vpierrev15 күн бұрын
Yeah, it always baffles me how every time it’s “we want to honor nature” then the build is just some monstrous gigantic thing with a shitload of concrete and glass, coupled with huge ecological imprints.
@nevil307614 күн бұрын
The key is money and the size of your family son, if you have lots of it, nature has to honour you.

The blatant cube design blends into the landscape seamlessly..... NOT. ..... It's utterly generic and forgettable modernism that sticks out like a sore thumb on an otherwise epic landscape. Where is the creativity ?
