Not to be insulting, but i wonder how an architect can square this kind of storytelling about boheminan artists with primarily building architecture that, to most people, is a symbol of the complete takeover of those spaces by the ultra wealthy and artists losing access to the spaces they built? I'm sure this architect thinks about this quite a lot and I'd like to hear his thoughts, though I know it's beyond the scope of this piece.

I think people who criticised it missed the point in what she said about the sunlight. Although LA is famed for its sunlight (hence our film industry and our magic hours) I think it's more about gratitude and being present. The sun is also amazing in Greece, Mexico and Bali, sure. I feel like the story being told here is about the beauty and peace that comes in seeing what is, where you are -- and loving it. It brings growth and healing. I felt like the filmakers did a good job of capturing the gratitude of both architect and client as it related to paradise. Gratitude is a requirement for paradise.

The landscape is absolutely gorgeous. Inside is nice but the exterior is just stale and soulless. It looks like a bunker.

Beautiful, but my first question/concern is, with it being among the trees and having all that glass, do birds try to fly into the reflection and crash into the glass? That happens in my current house occasionally and the environment is nothing like this.

I have made all sorts of things out of wood with WoodPrix plans. Sheds, garage doors, chairs, tables, etc. I've even made a fence and raised beds with these plans. They even have plans like bird feeders there. The selection is overwhelming
