I flew to Barbados on G-BOAF BA273/27/02/1988 via Shannon. Absolutely brilliant experience flying at Mach 2.2 at 65,000 ft. Excellent crew and service on British Airways. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Just come across this fantastic interview and was great to learn that Colin was the captain on the special charter flight on Alpha Fox into Yeovilton in 1986, escorted by two sea harriers. I was on that flight as a very enthusiastic 5 year old boy! I have my flight certificate, ticket and a photo of the aircraft with a sea harriers taken in flugt by the second sea harrier!

Good question. Personally although I only heard it once when Concorde flew into leeds, I loved hearing - nay, *experiencing* the sonic boom. However , if it was a daily thing I'm sure folk would soon get sick of it!

Great interview, thanks for giving your time Colin Morris. Just as an aside, I believe the 127 degree limit comes from the fact that it equates to 400 degrees Kelvin, which I think the engineers would have worked to.

What a nice man, I could listen to him talk all day! Hes so funny , I like the part about him going to the museum and saying "you do realise i got this plane brand new, fresh out of the paint shop, and it was released.... to a ham fisted pilot like me!" I dunno , hes just funny.

I had the pleasure to visit the museum and Alpha Foxtrot a couple of years ago; such a wonderful experience. This is a great interview; my late father flew in Concorde from Washington to Heathrow on August 12th 1977; sadly he did not write on his Certificate which Concorde he flew on. So I wondered if Captain Morris flew this service? If so, could he inform me the registration? If not any suggestions on how I could find out? I know for sure it was not Alfa Foxtrot or Alpha Golf as they had not entered service in 1977.

I experienced a loss of oil pressure on Concorde on my way to JFK.....as we were reasonably near, we continued to JFK......Captain thought we might have to land at BOS but made it to JFK...a few hours late!
