Don't Be Sour

Күн бұрын

Wrestling with the chaos of Los Angeles life, my brother Chase, 'Tuning the Elder', and I, Maxx King Dingling, stumbled into a hearty chat about the quirks and quandaries of our daily lives. Chase's insights as a health coach sprinkle wisdom on everything from the insanity of the LA housing market to the transformative power of morning rituals. We banter about the oddities of health trends and toss around the idea that maybe, just maybe, a frosty dip in a cold plunge could be the secret to living past 100.
Family, relationships, and the roller coaster of trying to conceive take us down a more intimate path. We swap tales of navigating the waters of love and marriage, laughing at the unexpected turns life throws our way, and how these experiences shape our personal growth journey. Whether it's the anticipation of adding 'Uncle Maxx' to my title or unraveling the complexities of building a strong partnership, we open up about the realities of life's most significant commitments.
Closing out with reflections that tug at the heartstrings, we honor the memory of our dad and the bittersweet recollections of family dynamics. It's a mix of nostalgia, hilarity, and candid conversation as we ponder the evolution of our family ties. So, grab a tangy snack and settle in for an episode that promises to tickle your funny bone and maybe, just maybe, make you crave a fresh start-whether it's in Texas, a morning routine shake-up, or just a new perspective on the everyday grind

The conversations Maxx has with Chase bring out a vulnerability that we almost never see in Maxx. More Chewning Bros. podcasts please. It’s clear you guys are able to have deep conversations and actually surprising to hear you aren’t that close because it really doesn’t seem like that in the podcast. Hoping you guys can build an even better relationship together and with the rest of your family. Would love to see a podcast with all the Chewnings! Get your sister on!

Had a girlfriend for 2 years absolutely zero issues until the last 6 months went on numerous vacations absolutely no signs of anything. Out of nowhere she cheats on me and turned out to be a women I didn’t even recognize anymore. Long story short anyone can change on you at the flip of a hat. Don’t think it can’t happen to you either. I’m not saying it will or not and hope everything works out but the moral of the story not everyone is who they seem to be. It’s unfortunate but it’s the truth.

From someone that had his only sibling stop talking to me and the entire family years ago out of the blue, I can completely understand Maxx when it comes to wanting a good bond with family (especially chase as the brother). Family is real wealth, and having a good foundation of relationship with them is a huge bonus in life. I'd give up all the money in the world for it. Now I'm basically an only child and the only male with all female cousins all way older than me and one way younger than me.

Love this episode! Just want to provide additional insights: 1. magnesium can act like a laxative, not really a diuretic 2. The recommendation for caffeine is up to 400mg daily for the average adult 3. L-Theanine does not significantly influence caffeine uptake or metabolism, but acts as a glutamate reuptake inhibitor and weak glutamate receptor antagonist, helping "smooth out" the caffeine stimulatory effect 4. The term "clinical evidence" doesn't mean what people thinks it means and it's frequently misused, especially in regard to brown fat because it's very difficult to use human subjects in a clinical setting for research. 5. To live a long healthy life try to avoid: Cardiovascular disease - via diet and exercise Cancer - avoiding obvious carcinogens (smoking, excessive sun exposure) Metabolic disease - diet and exervise Max nailed it when he said he prefers to get to work and not stress about a crazy morning routine that is ultimately low yield in increasing lifespan and healthspan.

Thank you for sharing some personal details about your life and family dynamics. A lot of what you talked about is something I have been thinking about lately and it's extremely nice to hear someone else work through it out loud. I have a twin brother and it's hard to describe the type of connection I have with him, even though we talk maybe once every month or two. I've also been wanting to become closer but just haven't found the best way yet. I'm also excited about your future and your friend group starting to have babies. I'm getting ready to start having kids soon as well and I giggle to myself thinking about raising kids at the same time and watching your videos to compare dad notes haha.

Loved this podder of you and Chase. Definitely think you and Chase can build the bond, only positive things will come from it and you’ll have a super close brother you can always go to no matter what. Chase moving to Austin would make it 10x easier. Hang out more, double dates etc. Building the family as a whole and calling your mom at least twice a week will definitely make a difference and grow the relationship. The call doesn’t even have to be long, just a quick call seeing how each are doing, wedding talk, business talk etc. Only positives and great relationships will come from it! I know you would have regret later on wishing you would have talked to ___ more or had a closer relationship with them!

Whilst there are benefits of using Ashwaganda, please be careful as it can cause raise liver results as I recently learnt when having blood tests at the GP... For a month there was concern that I might have had cancer because of these raise results, but as soon as I stopped taking the Aswaganda, it took about a month, but then my results went back to normal. Magnesium which they mentioned is also great one to help with sleep, especially if you are neurodivergent but you can't take it at the same time as other supplements as it'll affect how your body reacts to them, so best to have that one at night on it's own.

the thought there is that cold exposure MAY reduce the muscle building response so close to training, but it is sooooooo small I'm not worried. Maybe if I was a bodybuilder or something, but if anything it reduces the inflammatory response so I can increase my volume/frequency - I'm fine with it.
