In this special episode, Maxx sits down with his older brother Chase and talks about how their childhood shaped them into who they are today. Listen to the dumb movie quotes they love to recite as well as a deep conversation about the passing of their father to ALS.

Wow.. Chase is such an admirable person… The way he allowed Maxx to be upset and just supported him and calmed him down, that is truly the way a big brother is supposed to act.

I think Chase is the only person that could give Maxx another perspective on healing the trauma surrounding their dad. The best podcast by far. It’s good to see both of you and your brother have an unspoken understanding of your experiences with your dad and what Ever Forward means to both of you. Thanks for sharing ❤

Maxx just wanted to say as a father of 4 not being their for my wife and kids is very scary but NOTHING is better then seeing them score a goal in a soccer game or do something awesome like land a kick flip and get sooo excited by it or that moment when they are still young enough to climb in your lap and give a hug. Those are some of my favorite memories of my life and based on the stories of your dad he would say he had to of cherished those things until his last breath. I get being a father can be scary because it 100% is but it can also be the most amazing thing in the world. You just have to do the best you can while you have breath in your lungs.

Listening to this is super hard, but encouraging for me. My dad died of cancer at 54 and he hid the severity of his diagnosis from us. He passed in a 4 day period, out of the blue, that completely wrecked me. Hearing that there is a way out of some of these feelings gives me hope. #EverForward

I am really late for this one but damn was this podcast amazing. The connection between you two and your history was a great watch. I admire Chase for the progress he has made with everything and how he handles you at points where you are at your weakest or most vulnerable. I wish for yourself that you will be at this points in the future too. I know it doesn't help but maybe seeing it like this: life itself is kind of a terminal sentence. Enjoy the crap out of it as long as it goes. There will always be an end to it. Get yourself some little maxes and maxins and be the best for them for the time given to you. Even if someday something bad happens, you already have made so many great memories and experiences for them. Don't let yourself be hindered by that. Feel the virtual ghost hug from another part o the world aaaaaaand ever forward like always :)

You've come so far and achieved so much when most people could have let the burden you carry be their crutch that prevents success. Allow yourself the joy of creating a family of your own. I'm sure this sounds condescending coming from a stranger but, maybe that is part of the Ever Forward mantra. Don't let the past be the burden that keeps you and those you love from happiness. There is nothing better in this life than seeing your children grow and succeed. Allow yourself that happiness.

I have always known you were from VA and felt connected to you because of the similarity, but I always thought it was Richmond. I am literally from Roanoke area so close to Biome’s Mill I literally couldn’t believe it! Also hearing you describe the loss of your dad and his illness sounds very similar to my mom with hers now. It is a very normal thing to not understand at any age, so doing it young is so normal. It’s so tough, but grief takes time and it is never on a time frame. 💛

Maxx I’ve never met you personally, but I’ve never seen anyone on social media that I have ever felt more relatable too. I feel like we could be friends in “real life” such a weird thing to say because I know you are not a character you are a real person. I have watched your channel for years but don’t comment often because I know you have to read through a crap ton of comments on every post. But with that being said, when you started talking about your Dad I’ve never felt so compelled to reach out and be there for someone I’ve never met in person. I really wanted to hug you when you broke in this podcast. I also know that you have a big following and a lot of friends but if you ever needed anyone to talk to about your Dad man reach out. Congrats on the pod cast yours is the only one that I listen too, mainly because you relate to myself so much. I hope that this doesn’t come off in the wrong way but I really appreciate what you do and how you tell your personal life good and bad.
