Incredible interview!! SM in such a chatty and great mood. Seems like the whole band is in a good place.

So lucky and grateful I didn't miss the boat seeing you guys. I was born a little late, but I know your albums inside and out. Thank you for going on tour

Their show was the best of the weekend!! One of the most memorable concerts I've ever been to

I saw the Jicks play Harness... at Gorilla Manchester UK. I couldn't recall it at the time but back home I dug around and sure enough it was on Spit... I played it to my kids, like Stephen says they loved the "Show me..." line, although it may have been my constant repetition that made it stick. I was singing it one day and the reply came "enslavement". We'll be at the Manchester show in October.

The most upbeat interview I've ever seen with them. It's energizing. Still want to know why Spiral seems separate from the band in every photo/interview/performance though.

He's always been generally standoffish. Once I got a 7" signed by each member of the band before a show in California and he was the least nice about it. Not mean, just kind of aloof.

@@converse1762 years back ( 1995 or so..) I clearly remember a Pavement interview with Melody Maker "Were not doing signings at the signing tent, that stuff sucks - it perpetuates the star system" Clearly stating their views on how cheesy it is to encourage the autograph / fan worship nonsense. Punk rock bonus points to Spiral I say !

Can't believe he said "dnr jr when he was a kid""your living all over me"..Made me think like fuck..(excuse my language) how long has dnr jnr's being going for..No doubt have to say "slanted enchanted"was my first ever pavement album and since then made it a mission to collect all..damn something about "starlings in the slipstream" that still echos in me and have to listen to..though Slanted enchanted my fav album since loved playing drums to it..brighten the corners 2nd..so great these geezers still so cool and keeping it real to life and reality..So inspiring....Thank you for so much inspiration creatively artistically musically..Without a doubt..with so much love always..😍

truly would take a shitty pavement album after seeing them in austin last week (although idk if that would be the case) but that show truly uplifted me and made my interest in the band so much more. Band was so on point.
