An Interview with Prof. Henry Giroux | Oxford Political Review

Henry Giroux is perhaps the foremost educational thinker of our time - in his prolific work he investigates the influence of neoliberalism and its culture on our educational systems and the concept of education itself. He also examines the influences of different educational paradigms on people and their ability to mount effective movements of emancipation and resistance, in the tradition of Critical Theory and especially the Critical Pedagogy of Paulo Freire.
Deputy Editor of Interviews Mats Licht spoke to Prof. Giroux about the influence of the Pandemic on education, the role of the so-called "Culture Wars" on educational policy, and the possible ways in which young people in particular can resist the current assault on education in general and the university in particular.

The host/moderator is a great example of the elevation of the unworthy. He is too timid to be a part of any substantive change; he would serve the educational process better as a server in the lunchroom rather than at the head of the class. This is akin to a dead end street. Well played ruling class!

He is spewing cultural marxism of the 70s, we might as well be talking to Herbert Marcuse. What a radical, never went away or grew up, stayed in universities his whole life trying to be relevant.
