DARK has one of the best stories that I have ever heard in my life and as someone who wants to work in the movie industry in the future, it kinda makes me feel bad that I will never come up with a story as well connected and executed as DARK. I couldn’t imagine a better TV show.

Not to bring another show down, but Baran Bo Odar + Jante Friese really kick Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy to the curb when it comes to writing scifi show with a cohesive start, middle, and finish. I'm so looking forward to Odar and Friese's future work.

Why can't we just live in a world where two sets of the biggest TV show filmmakers are both obsessed with time? Whether it's Chris Nolan, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, or Baran Bo Odar and Jante Friese? All these filmmakers are obsessed with time - and in my opinion we all as an audience win! Even at their worst, these people all tell better time travel stories than most people tell any other kind of narrative.

@@JakeTS1992 because Nolan and Joy's quality of work have consistently deteriorated over time whereas Bo Odar and Frisen have kept their quality up. So it is worth pointing out that the big names are not the only names out there putting out good content.

The thing I was wondering is what part they started to write it. I mean which parts were imagined first, and which parts were imagined after. What was the idea at the begining? Because as we all know everything is connected to each other with an endless loop.

From what I read in other interviews, Bo Odar and Friese had two main separate ideas - dark family saga and sci-fi time travel thing. They had them in plan for two different works. But while pitching to Netflix they've combined those two ideas into one and the rest is history

The thing with dark is that its shot so beautifully and every shot is so good, i think we are going to need a 4k UHD Blu-Ray release to really get the full picture, maybe with some HDR or Dolby vision

Unlikely. Netflix rarely does BluRay releases and the ones they themselves do are usually pretty bad with nothing else on the discs. Too bad.

I absolutely loved it. In my Gothic mind, there were so many elements from German folklore and Gothic Literature, as well as all the pagan and religious elements that it blew my mind. It really shows some of the concerns of our times.

@mrvvinston Yeah just a jokes, I just like this Series so much, I'm so happy to spend My holiday time in the pandemic to watch Dark Season 1-3 (26 Hours) 26 Episode = 2+6= 8 = Endless Cycles, even some character in this series still under developed but this Series still Best Series in Netflix (sorry if My english bad)

We could put a big sign before the show saying, “It’s a deterministic world! Nothing’s going to change!” And still you would root for all the characters and you would want them to somehow get out of this mess. Because we all want to believe that we have free will. And that’s just such a big, big, big energy driver. You just want it to happen. That’s why you still root for them, and you still wait for this world to change. And you know what? Maybe it will. We don’t know yet. Baran Bo Odar: I don’t think so. It’s a deterministic world. Jantje Friese: We’ll see." Basically saying they didn't know exactly how they wanted to end it - and they seemed to think determinism wouldn't be broken, yet in the actual ending it was (even though they're still advocating for it in this video, all the while saying they're satisfied with the ending... weird) Louis Hofmann also said he was only told the ending while they were making season 3
