Weston is definitely the go to resource for all things boots! I've learned so much from him cutting boots in half and picking apart the construction methods of all different kinds of boots. I am so much more prepared to find what i want in a boot thanks to Weston. Props to Blade HQ for having him on! Much love Rose Anvil

The Benchmade SOCP is not great for boot knife. Really anything with a ring, can easily be yanked out of your boot while trudging through the woods.... I am trying to save somebody from losing a 100.00 + knife with a ring! They belong on your vest or in your waistband. I've carried a cold steel hide out for a decade now... Can't recommend The hideout or the CT-2 enough for a boot knife! You can buy yourself 10 of those for one of the Benchmade! I'm shocked these guys did not think a ring pommel is probably gonna snag on something. Cuz it's not a matter of if, it's when!!! The EAB I carry in my left boot, only good recommendations I heard in this episode. No offense to George or the boot guy! George isn't a boot guy, please don't lose your hard earned money on a Toor, esse, Benchmade SOCP. Cold steel is the way to go! Unless you are hell bent on a ring pommel boot knife, get a clone off Amazon to carry in your boot! No offense George! Just wanted to help prevent someone losing $100+ or the ring snagging just right and puncturing somebody's leg! I've seen it happen and it's not PRETTY!!!You can thank me via store credit towards a Protec Dark Angel.😜

@@dbmail545 yeah man that's why I carry Cold Steel's hideout fastened to my boot via Chicago screw. Just above the ankle. The counter tac 2 is another one I've carried the same way. Both will penetrate a car hood.... Enough said🤣 Hope this helps someone avoid getting hurt or worse losing a $100+ knife!!!

I did years ago on my engineer/motorcycle boots; the shaft was tall enough that only the pommel end of the knife was sticking out and the point wasn’t rubbing my ankle. At the time (thirty years ago) discretion was more important and nobody wanted to get tackled by the cops for open carrying a knife. These days everyone and their grandmother carries a Glock so cops don’t really care about knives so much! 😂

That's great.... Could you change your computer program that won't let me buy perfectly legal knives here in New York City off of your website, because it thinks they are illegal? That would be great. No, not everything with a cutting edge on it is illegal to buy or own in NYC. Or, keep it as it is and I'll just keep buying from your competitors instead, who have no issues selling to me.

So there's a problem with the ideas in this video now I have done hunting I have done farm work I have done long hikes or long trucks through vitamins that 85% in the world is never going to be in I have the most experience when it comes to wearing boots out I have multiple multiple multiple knives that I've used from combat knives to hunting knives to Bowie knives okay I can tell you for a fact from someone who's been declined by multiple multiple boot companies because they do not make boots made for knives unless you have a custom-made boot company that makes you a custom-made boot or you have a more higher quality boot that again the problem with this is I have owned every single boot that they have on this channel and I can tell you for first experience that most most medical High people Moe's High operators or special people who work in the military are not going to be wearing this type of boot it depends on what job you're doing and where you're going to be I have been known to lock everything from hunting boots snake poop boots to fireproof boots for the forest fire people most of my boots are all leather because I would rather have a leather sole then have my feet all busted up or have my feet start you know lipping and having my shoes soaked it's not like having boots that you can just swap if you're in a different environment normally I'm wearing those I'm wearing yellow beans I'm wearing Colombia's I'm wearing high quality stuff and I spent a lot of money on my gear but I can tell you for experience if you have a Sheaf that's not made for a boot or you have a knife that's not made for a boot and you stick it in and you have to say 300 me you're going to be great having that knife in your boot very quickly second thing is a lot of people don't understand that if you're in a knife fight you're already f***** that is the last place you want to be a first option is don't engage with that person if you don't have to second thing is if you have to engage it how to do it effectively and in the situation is quick as you can third thing is if I have no other weapon and my last option is a knife I'm going to get cut it's going to be uncomfortable and I am in the worst situation that I am in and how to prepare for that people who think oh I'll still knife on a boot seems cool to them until you're in that moment where that knife is your life or death situation and then you're right f***** you're right this is not what I want to be in

I appreciate the out of the box thinking, but the crossovers like this come off to me as an act of desperation on BHQ's part. Unfortunately George can't fill the shoes of the Ben's, the Zacks, the Kurt's or the Dallas' that preceded him so they're compensating with gimmicks. No offense to George, he's a good dude, but he seems like more of a stooge with a book knowledge of knives that preaches a marketing scheme, rather than a person that genuinely loves and uses knives as they are intended. Because of this I don't believe him, nor respect what he says, which in turn causes me to not shop at BHQ. I don't respect the brand at this point and though I haven't watched many of their videos in recent months, nor have I shopped at their online store, this will be the last video I watch because it is so fake and forced.
