One of the main christological features of the Gospel of John is that Jesus is the embodiment of God's word and wisdom. In Jewish Wisdom literature, God's word and wisdom are personifications of God's creative speech and wise interactions, naturally. In Proverbs, for example, we see that personified wisdom has "glory" in her left hand (3:16). A few chapter later, personified wisdom repeats this claim, "Riches and glory are with me" (8:18). Clearly, wisdom possessed glory with Yahweh in the beginning. Fast forward to the Gospel of John, Jesus is praying in chapter 17 and he requests that he be glorified with the glory that he--personified wisdom's human embodiment--had before the world was, just as it was depicted in Proverbs. In short, once we place Jesus' statements in their context of Jewish wisdom christology that has been shaped by Jewish Wisdom literature (like Proverbs), then we can make sense of Jesus speaking on behalf of wisdom because he is wisdom/word become flesh.

Hi! Do unitarians believe in the rapture? Most christians nowadays believe in this, but the doctrine just seems off to me? How can we all just fly in the sky when Christ comes? That makes no sense. Also, how do you deal with people calling you a heretic? When you try and tell people this info they are quick to say you are committing heresy. Oh! One more question 😂. If the trinity comes from pagan orgins, what about Christmas, Easter, weddings, and other stuff like that? Thanks in advance!

North Africa was Arian in the fifth and sixth century CE. Also (V)andalusia. There is a mention of Arians in early Islam in a letter from Muhammad to then Byzantium Ruler. Funny fact ...Arius was Lybian ( modern Tunisia/ Lybia). His faith made it to Germanic barbarian tribes ; Wisigoths, Alans, Vandals and Sueves.... But the " hardcore" Arians were both Vandals and ancient Lybians ...who waged Holy war on Rome....well they simply performed " Jihad ' and the Trinitarian Churches.....deemed negative acts " Vandalism" compare with what the Church of Baal defines as " Terrorism''.

Hi just finished to watch your video in my Sabbath, I have some point to bring, you have forgotten a big part of Arianism/Unitarism, it is the Judaizer/Minim, read the historian Bernard Lazare, like the Sabbatarians of Transylvania and others toward history who have been crushed by the dragon, Judaizer were even before Arius like Clement of Rome. I see Biblical Unitarian as "Radical Unitarism" like Islam, Christadelphian, etc. Proverbs 30:3, John 6:46, 1 Corinthians 10:4, etc. so many verses talk about the pre-existence, but I'm not here for debate and I know that you will find symbolism to never take verse literally. The Judaizer believes in the pre-existence of Jesus, He could have been Mickael, but He is not only the archangel or the "Super Angel," He is only "one" of the Morning Star, the first group of angels/spirit that has been created Job 38:7, this group was of "equal rank," Satan Was a Morning Star too, after the sacrifice of Jesus, the "angel of Israel" Matthew 15:24 who can again be a link with Mickael and the one who give the law to the Hebrew. Judaizers believe that "Elohim" are gods, Psalm 82:6&John 10:34 and Eloah is the Father, it means when the Father will be "all in all by the holy spirit" humanity will have become Elohim(Gods). The real problem of Radical Unitarism it is that they don't understand that the word "God" is not only to the Father. The LXX translator was not having the same conception of the word "God" as we have... It is a little like Latin language and the language that came from it, even today, French-Spanish-Italian don't have words like "Godhead" or "Begotten" in their bible or language. Words have a big power to influence convictions and faith, it is why the Roman council tried to rule over them. monogenēs theos, monogenes huios, kosmos, aión etc. Just 4-5 words can change our entire view of Christology and Eschatology... Today you have some Messianic Jew, Christian Churches of God, Assembly Of Eloah etc that can be considered "Judaizer" and keep the same unitarian conception of Jesus, being equal to others "elohims" before having a better name than them after his sacrifice for Israel. (For those of he first resurrection, before Jesus, nobody have ever heard of 2 resurrections) but thanks for the video, always nice to see more unitarian perspective.

It is “Isreal” imo. Throughout the Hebrew scriptures Israel is Yahwehs children and he calls Israel his firstborn. The shadow point to not only Jesus Messiah l, but also Jew and Gentile alike under the new covenant as spiritual Israelites to be the future New Jerusalem in God’s Kingdom with Jesus as the Davidic king.

I go even further in believing that Jesus was the physical son of Mary AND Joseph, the birth narratives/genealogies and supposed miraculous conception being early interpolations. As far as the Arian hypothesis is concerned, Arians are definitely NOT Unitarians in the classic sense.

I’ve heard this before but it probably have had to be an early interpolation if so. It’s attested to pretty early on from what I understand, by at least the 2nd century (if you don’t include the Luke and Matthew). I want to explore this topic more, but it’s rather bold to assume it’s an interpolation. Do you assume this because you have been studying this topic for awhile now?

Psalms 93:1 1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Psalms 96:110 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Isiah 14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. Chronicles 16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. Psalms 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. Zechariah 1:11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

@@A2KOnlineChurch The predication to the Heliocentric model is the Big Bang along with evolution. Most Christians don’t prescribe to the Big Bang or evolution but still cling to a spinning ball hurling through an infinite universe with a sun center and people walking around upside down under them. This is an inversion of Gods word and defies our eyes and common senses. Some people’s Faith is in a man made science based on theory not Gods word. Read the Book of Joshua, how did he extend that day to finish the Battle? Did he ask the earth to stop spinning or did he command the moon and sun to stand still? Research the Hebrew word for Firmament it’s raqia a dome.
