I like your channel, good work. As a long-time contractor I find it rewarding both financially and experientially. The need to look for work is a blessing in disguise, as it disciplines you to keep your skills fresh and relevant, to be flexible and to maintain a positive attitude. Another benefit is that if you encounter a difficult work environment it's easy to move on at the end of the contract. Strong personal finance is key - I like to invest in stocks & bonds and keep a generous savings buffer.

Love this! I’ve binge-watched your contracting videos before I started contracting and they were very, very helpful. 9 months in and I’m enjoying it :) one thing I do in terms of finances is that I didn’t change my lifestyle at all. As a full time employee, I was saving around 30% of my net pay. I just save more now but I maintain the same level of expenses.
