I appreciate your approach on honesty as you learn Hyatt. I am a Hilton loyalist ATM, but also a Chase UR guy. My focus has been Chase for airline miles (transfer partners) and my Hilton Amex Surpass for Gold status and a boat load of points for signup (200,000). I'm now interested in exploring either Hyatt or Marriott for more options with Chase UR.

Interesting - ever thought about getting/upgrading to Aspire for Diamond status? I find Hilton Diamond to be the least valuable out of the three top-tier statuses so I'm looking forward to getting some better treatment with Hyatt

I have been to 烏鎮. Your video brings back memories. Great place. Mostly local tourists. I remember the hotel right inside the resort where you can look out the window into the river. I don't know if it's part of any chain but definitely in my radar for a future stay. One of the places worth returning to, along with 杭州. Looking forward to more travel videos (specially China).

I remember going to Wuzhen when I was a kid and we stayed at a small motel that was really dirty. Next time I go back to China, I'm definitely staying at the Alila! Thanks for the video and stay safe in China :)

Hyatt's smaller footprint is a weakness, but they've been on a hot streaks with partnerships and acquisitions (including Alila Hotels not too long ago), so they're working on it.

It all depends. If you have the Hyatt credit card, as long as you're in good, and you have it, it's forever. If not, you need to re quality each year. If you're a globalist in Dec 2023, globalist until dec. ' 24. Hyatt own one of the 3 credit unions.

Sofitel is under Accor - who uses a dynamic award chart that doesn't have too much value. But there are a few gems of wisdom there, so I'll plan to make that video... probably when I stay at an Accor property at some point.

World of hyatt is not satisfactory, and for everything, you have to chase them to sort out stuff. Sorry, but their system needs some work, or maybe they don't have an sop in place still
