An Introduction to OPC UA

The Manufacturing Study Group requested a simple introduction to OPC UA. John Rinaldi provided a quick history of the technology, the OPC Foundation and the some thoughts on where the technology might go in the future. This presentation is not comprehensive. OPC UA is a very large and very complex architecture for building manufacturing applications. This presentation presents a very limited portion of that large and somewhat unwieldy topic.
