Rosa was an artistic genius and I admire the fact that not only did she break barriers women faced in her day, but she did not hide the fact she was a Lesbian and lived openly with another woman. A real role model for the LGBT community!

The editing of this video makes the final result hard to watch. Whoever is responsible for it should have a rethink about their methods.

The Haggin Museum in Stockton, California, has a collection of Rosa Bonheur paintings. They also have a huge collection of Leyendecker paintings as well as Albert Bierstadts among many other great artist's works.

Thanks for the thought-provoking discussion. I understand the editor’s desire to avoid the talking-head syndrome, but the distracting, purposeless quick cuts and split-screen tricks really undermine the whole production. (To be fair, other aspects of the sound and visual editing were quite well done.)

Rosa was a great painter. But I'm not sure how you can say that she was greater and had a more international reputation than Vigee LeBrun a century before. LeBrun was court painter and friend of Marie Antoinette, and painted across the continent, including Russia and Poland. I knew of Vigee LeBrun decades before Bonheur.

The producer of this video needs to stop thinking we all like to view annoying flicking subjects, extremely hard to watch as she flits from left to right, back to the middle then off again, please sack him and get a professional in..

The videography does not allow one to actually look at the freaking painting and what I need more than anything is videography style that f****** causes me to be dizzy thank you

Well Im learning about Rosa for school and i realize that she's a tomboy artist...
@ixlnxs Жыл бұрын
More than a tomboy. She was openly lesbian in a time when that was still frowned upon. She was incredibly brave and a role model for lesbian women (and gay men) to this day.

“As far as males go, I only like the bulls I paint” Can you even find a source for that quote? of course this had to be turned into some weird leftist man hating video. Never even knew she was lesbian nor cared but sheesh barf.
