Levi, since you are talking a specif piece of clothing that got popular during the neo-colonialism era, I wonder what are your thoughts on other ways of dressing up that are not from europe and how we could mix them with our western style.

I've been thinking of that as well and have been trying to incorporate some into our clothing styles of today. The problem is that unless you belong to a certain ethnic group with their own fashion, western fashion is the "lingua franca" of the world so to speak. So, if you're wearing something that is, say, Indian, people will assume that you have Indian heritage or at least are very much into Indian culture. Because they can be so different from western style it may be slightly challenging to incredibly difficult to incorporate into your entire ensemble and must be tackled on a one by one basis. I think Japanese is the easiest not only because it's becoming "colonized" across the world, but the forms flow well with what we have already. That's a great topic for a video or podcast! To start off, I go with pocket squares or lapel pins that have a pattern or symbol of a non-European culture. That's the easiest way to start off with

Blind in one eye. I wear a khaki safari jacket always with a red turtleneck under it. I sell real estate. One minute I’m talking to a client in a normal professional manner and the next minute I’m cursing like a mad dog... I loose many clients this way.... the eye patch freaks them out, but they get over it quickly. I think it’s the cursing. Usually I’m cursing about how easy their daily commute will be..., “The commute to the city is FU(£in EEEEEEASY!!”

@@DemetriosLevi I thrift around a lot and I’ve picked up some wonderful articles of clothing. Including an old, tailor-made Italian safari jacket. Stopped searching after I found that one. But, if I ever dropped 900 on something it would be on a bespoke safari jacket designed to perfection, internal pockets, extras etc.

It's $1000 for made to order, which means it's not custom but you save money because you're not up-charging for unsold inventory. I have no idea how these prices are justified. It sucks because their rakish one is so beautiful. Oh well...

Depends on what you mean by worthless. It's a phenomenal alternative to a sportcoat or blazer, and it's stylish considering the general appeal and approval of the garment. Since it's linen version keeps one cool in the heat and the suede versions keep you warm in the cool weather, than your claim of worthlessness is 100% subjective on your part. And it's a jacket...not a shirt.

@@DemetriosLevi it's hardly a jacket. I'm from India, dude. We make the real deal out of cotton and even dye it with Acacia bark. I have like 8 of them in various wool fabrics and suede as a result. Agreed, they are a decent substitute for a blazer or sport coat, but not if youre not built for it. This is very unforgiving for people with big bellies and narrow shoulders. Right there it's useless to most guys. If you want to stay cool, maybe don't wear a jacket? If you want multiple use able pockets, maybe avoid suede, shit goes bald fast.
