If there is no available virologist, will immunologists and physicians be able tell how the viruses are attacking the immune system by just looking at the immune system and not the virus. Im asking because of a post-apocalyptic story that I am writing which includes a virus that causes zombie-like creations. A faction of people in the story have no virologists, but they are trying to see why the one of the infected is so physically strong and why there are varicose veins appearing. So in my mind, they are not be able to study the virus itself but they have an immunologist and other physicians. Will they alone be able to figure out anything about the virus itself if there is not a virologist available?
@karaokay54447 ай бұрын
Did you ever end up figuring it out? I’m so curious! I think if the immunologist and physicians payed close attention in medical microbiology and whatever other medical classes they took, and actually retained the information, they should be able to remember different immune responses to different viruses. What is your book called?
@danr.50173 жыл бұрын
I thinks its cool how the desogn of this looks inspired by ASAP scienc and minute physics. I think it would help if you learned how to do simple animations. Being able to underline, circle, bold fonts though out the presentaion would help out with the cluttered slideshow presentaion. It would also help to bring in information dynamically as you need it as oppsed to throwing too much at the student too fast. Your Narriaiton is very good.

Question. If viruses are not alive because they cannot replicate or make energy or have DNA or RNA, then do they become alive after using the hosts cells to replicate and have energy?

Thanks for sharing. ;p An envelope for a virus is a kind of membrane for some non cellular entity or else? A virus protected by some envelope is usually more resistant to anti-viral measures than the one without one perhaps?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis4 жыл бұрын
First, An envelope is an outer cover (it surrounds the protein coat in some viruses). Second, not necessarily, since you can target the envelope with medications.

Hello Medicosis... is it true that alcohol gel is ineffective against the Coronavirus? I mean, it’s quite obvious that once the virus entered the organism any hand sanitizer is useless, but can one really prevent catching coronavirus using alcohol gel?..
