They are not only intelligent beyond what most people think but they are amazing in almost every other way. They absolutely fascinate me. Beautiful video. Many members of the corvid family such as crows, magpies, ravens, jackdaws...ect are all really intelligent bird species and have been widely documented using tools in the wild, parrots also have been documented to use tools.

I've seen ants use aphids to milk sap out of ivy leaves, which is essentially farming. Had them all lined up along the veins of newly sprouted leaves. They had bitten their wings off so they couldn't get away and carried them off when they were filled up. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen. I swear I have seen them do "surgery" on fellow ants that i had crushed and were apparently dead, only to be revived after a pair of them would manipulate them with their mandibles and antennae

@@nowvoyagerNE That's just intinctual behaviour, the most brain power they'll use is when deciding which shell is better. With the Octopus it has to use foresight, unlike the hermit crab the coconut Octopus needs to shells to make a shelter out of, and it uses them for rolling as well. With the hermit crab it gets in the shell and then it is done, with the coconut Octopus it has to assemble them later on, and it is much harder to manuever with the shells.
