I think that would be a tad redundant given that VR already has all of the hardware support for this already. Simone even made a VR drum game that will interface with a PC DAW. PCVR only at this point, but the dev said quest is in the plan.

Just received mine last evening. For a while I thought the left stick was just lost, no matter what I tried to strike. I stopped and put all devices on charge. Maybe that did the trick because the next session went much better. I picked these up because I am NOT a drummer, always been a tapper on whatever surface I was near at the time ect... but I had been researching e-kits and had about narrowed it down then stumbled onto these. I had no problem spending the $180 just to check it out. I have to say that after a couple of hours testing where the zones are and how to repeat them I'm very happy. Not done anything with the app and might not we'll see. No noticeable latency that I can detect when wired to my headphones or speaker. I am interested in the MIDI function and what better mapping I can get. I don't know anything about Win 10 compatible DAW's (is there a good one that is free??) so that's going to have to wait a little while. I can see where the "no contact or feel" is hard, especially for experienced drummers but again for the price it's f'n awesome so far.😎

Solid review, Taylor! I've seen a lot of comments where people say this is a bad product. Are they saying this because the actual quality is bad, or that when you go to hit where a drum would be, it doesn't consistently give you the right sound? Or are they saying if you want to play the real drums this isn't a good way to learn? I'm a guitarist, but I don't have the space, money or coordination to play an actual drum set. If I just want to screw around with some basic 1 2 3 4 beats (no high-level tomtom rolls or complicated jazz drumming) or jam with a couple of friends playing some hard rock and metal tunes, is this a good product for my purposes, in your opinion? Sorry, one follow-up question: I have a PositiveGrid Spark amp, so I would be able to connect the Aeroband into that with the 3.5 jack to use it as a speaker, right?

Yes, you can connect to a speaker using the 3.5 output. I have no idea why people say what they do, but my experience was it worked as advertised, but I'm just not a good drummer so it was really tricky for me. Maybe that's me, maybe that's the unit, impossible for me to know without a lot of practice. With that being said, at a minimum, they are very fun to use

Well, i have played drums for years and i wanna try these out. So i bought thesez annnnd...not happy at all. Its not even accurate, mistakes all the time if you try to hit crash, or ride cymbal and you look silly when playing and try to play drummer. Not recommended to buy these 👎

Same as Leaf, I’ve been playing for 16 years and this was one of the useless instruments I’ve ever bought. All the components shift while I’m playing so I have to recalibrate every 10 seconds, it’s so damn annoying. But I’ve seen many video where they work perfectly so sincerly I don’t really know what the fuck is up with shit

Technically VERY impressive. And there will be people who will put this to good use. But I'll stick to my racked Octapad with the cool PD21 pads. And I'd rather use my fingers on an old drum computer or a keyboard again instead of this witchcraft. When there is a brain-to-midi converter, I'll give that a chance.

@@pedrosiqueira1898 Hello :) I would sincerely recommend that you buy a real drum set to learn drums seriously. Drums are percussions, and you cannot hit the air ;)

OH, so there is velocity. Neat! Just ordered a set. I've always been 10x better at knee drumming and stomping on the bus or whenever I'm bored than on an actual drum set. Maybe this will help me bridge that gap. It'd be cool if they could figure out how to use that entire MIDI drum set you had on screen. 😆

Has anyone ever tried one of those desktop drum pad things? The ones layed out like actual drums and with foot pedals? They seem like half way between a full midi kit and this. I dont want to spend a whole bunch on a midi kit just to put down ideas

I think when there comes a time they can marry a hologram kit with this device, it would be far easier than trying to guess where the "contact" is being made. I would also like to see them making the sticks look like actual drum sticks .. not that the physical design is key to using this thing but those min logs just seem so non conducive to playing these aure drums.

Go out of calibration too easily. Sent mine back. Oh and by the way, there is a card in the box that is supposedly regestering the product, but signs you up for a worthless gamer site. Total scam. I had to cancel my credit card because the company repeatedly tried to charge my account. Beware!
