An Oklahoma Fly Fishing Trip // Kayaking and Camping on the Upper Illinois River

I spend 2 days fly fishing for BIG smallmouth bass on the Upper Illinois River in Oklahoma. I am kayaking and camping on one of the most SCENIC rivers in Oklahoma! It was an UNFORGETTABLE trip filled with big fish, beautiful scenery, wonderful weather, and great company!

Awesome trip! The best section of the upper Illinois River is in Arkansas. It’s way more clear and a lot less people and is above a dam on the border.

I'm from Tulsa and wade fish Baron Fork alot, but have really wanted to float and camp the Upper Illinois. I've been on a day trip with Donavon Clary for white bass, so I see all his posts of the Illinois on facebook. Where did you start and end your trip, and also curious about arranging for pickup/transport?
