Tourette's syndrome is a neurological condition and disability which causes involuntary movements called tics. I use my platforms on social media such as TikTok, KZbin and Instagram to advocate and raise awareness for the condition and show what it is like living with a disability as a teen in school.
My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about tics, tic disorders and what its like to be a teen living with Tourette's syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and a seizure disorder (NEAD/NES).
I show what its like having tics and Tourettes in class and in school and college, vlog, and I also bake, do other challenges and answer all your questions in Q and A videos.
I am also an ambulatory wheelchair user so I show what life looks like using various mobility aids and how needs change from day to day!
I am also a musician! My newest release is my first single (original song) called "She's Mine" which is now available on all streaming services - I sing and play piano, guitar, ukulele and I write, produce, mix and master all my own songs and content myself!

POTS is rough. I have to keep a massive water bottle with me at all times and have to lay down so often. Salt is my best friend along with water and special hydration packets. You have to drink I think like 3xs as much as a normal person. It’s hard cuz I often don’t drink as much as even a normal person should so it causes more episodes

I’m confused as to how this could be POTS. With POTS, fainting happens when going from sitting or lying to standing. Her faints all seem to happen when sat. I’ve also never seen anyone faint with their eyes closed. I’m obviously not saying she doesn’t have POTS if that’s what she’s been diagnosed with, but from the outside these symptoms look like more of an FND thing than an autonomic nervous system thing. I say this as someone with POTS btw. Also feel free to correct me! And I hope I didn’t come across as rude or offensive. I’m just curious and trying to understand.

@@eneedham789 I pass out sitting down constantly. As soon as I feel lightheaded I sit and almost always faint. And I close my eyes because it helps to somewhat equalize what I’m feeling. It’s caused by a drop in blood pressure and that can happen at any moment.

@@tammyperez8871 so, a drop in BP would indicate orthostatic hypotension rather than POTS, the diagnosis of which requires a consistent BP. That makes sense though, thanks for responding!

I have POTS and I will sometimes faint. I feel the symptoms before, but when I’m about to faint, it’s almost like falling asleep. But when I wake up, my symptoms are really bad.

I fainted in class one time cause I only got 3 hours of sleep the night before. I do that sometimes. It depends if I got enough sleep. I was sitting at my desk with my friend and I was doing my work and all of a sudden, I got a wave of relaxation and just fainted in my chair. My friend let our teacher know and my friend helped me to get to somewhere I could lay down. She decided the nurses offices bed was good cause its a bed and I'd be safe cause the nurse was there. They called my parents about it and they made sure I got enough sleep that night. It only happens like every month cause there's always a night where I stay up for a while and I now go to my bed when I start getting relaxed and tired.

I’m being tested for POTS and I’m not in the 30% that faint, so far I’ve only gotten really really close to fainting, but if I ever do faint I’ll probably make jokes about fainting goats because I adore fainting goats😂🐐

I’m only 12 and this happened to me a few times in gym (story time😚) so when i had to run a mile I was running and I didn’t feel it coming and as I was running I fainted and fell flat on the ground and when I was on the ground no one saw me so when woke up everyone was gone (this was in 7th class at the end of the day) and when I went to the doors to get back in the gym the doors were locked then I called my mom and she came and got me.hoped you liked the story time😚

I have moments like this due to a Mitochondrial enigma of a disease. It can happen anytime but mostly when I am over tired hot sick or stressed.where it may be face first into my food, my closet, other random places and I must be rested and people aware when I take a bath etc also I don’t drive. I developed this three days after the birth of my eldest child who will be 21 this year I was 29. I am now 50 and have outlived doctors predictions by over by 21 years they told me I wouldn’t make the next few days after having him . I feel vain but it’s just seeking normality in my life like other people , so my main question is this …I had a very bad episode that I remember nothing from. I ended up at the hospital with 106.9 fever and encephalitis and meningitis. All I knew was that I felt sick. They brought me for a scan and found out that I had broken in the base of my skull ,my orbital socket my wrist and it turns out they missed my nose. So now my nose goes to the right side more than the left is that sort of thing usually covered by insurance? And is it vain, I want a true opinion would anybody recommend getting a nose job to fix it? I am 50 but I look younger and I always felt pretty, but the nose issue has made me self-conscious. I also lost my teeth and wear dentures and lost a lot of hair and wear partial extensions, etc. so I don’t know why my nose bothers me so much .I don’t know if it’s just vanity or if other people feel this way too? Please help me it’s kind of like mentally most of the time I feel in my 20s but my body feels like it’s 80 I think I’m trying to close that gap I’m married and have beautiful children. I want to live in the mountains but that would take a miracle, so please, the nose is somethingcontrollable what do you all think?

Fainting can be caused by FND, but she’s actually being tested for a different condition right now called POTS which causes about 30% of patients to fully faint, and the rest to have pre-fainting symptoms like heart rate issues, dizziness, tunnel vision, etc.
