Welcome! As is so far, this hack's already been a fun time so far! For chase music... I'd give my two cents in regards to suggestions: Either the Mystery Box theme from Super Mario 3D Land, or the second half of the "Hurry Up" music from Donkey Kong '94.

Hang on, I thought you could clear this while in the gray world. And when you hit the flagpole, Ghost Luigi gives out a thousand points or so. But only while normal, never saw it happen while Mega. Wish you could beat him while Invincible too.

And what happens if you die from wegee? I cant try the rom cause it wont work on my emulator, neither pc or android (I know the file is a patch, but i've tried with like 10 different roms of 3 different regions and none work)

I can confirm it's a bit anticlimatic, it just gives you an instant death, regardless of powerup state. By powerup state though I mean all of them, even if you have a star he kills you instantly.

Oh I tried that out of boredom, getting a Mega Mushroom cancels out the Luigi world, and it lasts too short for him to get to Mario even if you timed it perfectly anyway. Can verify invincibility means nothing to Luigi though, he kills you even while invincible

There's something about Luigi being 2D here that gives me a strange feeling. Most enemies are 2D, except for ones like bosses (or dry bones, which seems more like an animation convenience thing). Mario and Peach are also 3D. But Luigi? He's 2D, deemed not important enough to get a full model. Maybe that's made him bitter

Assumimg 3DS, prolly just a matter of patching the ROM on your PC and putting the patched ROM onto your SD card and using either a flashcart or Twilight Menu.

Funny enough I got caught up on this too, and I've been patching games for awhile. TLDR, this doesn't use an IPS patch, it uses an xdelta patch; you'll need DeltaPatcher to patch the ROM.

Had played a whack 'em xdelta hack before where not only it replaces the protag with shovel knight, but has the entire SK soundtrack not in the traditional music hack, plays exactly like the original SK (i dont know how to describe that easily.)
