I'm grateful to partner with Ostoform to share their new FLOWASSIST 2-Piece Pouch! Check it out here: bit.ly/flowass...
I never recommend trying a new ostomy product when you're leaving the house, but sometimes life gets in the way. I was shocked at how well it held up (and how little I thought about my ostomy) the day I was trying this pouch. The flange stuck so well and was extremely comfortable, feeling like a second layer of skin.
Thank you Ostoform for sponsoring this video!

I do not have an ostomy but my sister passed from crohns due to the fact she would not even consider surgery. She signed paperwork that she def declined and told her husband same. Such a shame she would not listen to Dr or watch channel. Rest in peace my sister. 7/20/22 🙏🏻💝

Thank you so much for sharing this. I wish this system had been available when my Mum had her stoma after surgery for bowel cancer. She had a really tricky time managing her output while on chemo, and something like this would have been a game changer for her. Neither of us knew anything about stomas and the world of ostomy appliances when she was diagnosed, and we spent lots of time while she was recovering from surgery doing lots of research and watching KZbin videos to educate ourselves and to find her better appliances. It's really courageous of you to share so openly about your experiences with your stoma, and I have no doubt you're helping many people to feel less scared and isolated :).

Hello Maggie, greetings from Germany -- Girl you rock - I love watching you, as you bring so much sunshine in the world. I would like to ask, if the inner part of the colon hurts while changing the pouch. Or could you describe, how does it feel at all, being touched? Many thanks Melanie

Intestine doesn't have nerve endings so most people cannot feel the intestine at all! The only part I feel is the skin around my stoma :) sometimes I'll feel pressure on the skin as I have output, or if I have skin breakdown, it'll be painful on the surface.

Today was the first day I changed my ostomy and realized that Arizona in the summer time has it's own unique challenges. Apparently when I hopped in a hot car and put my seatbelt on the hot seatbelt pressed the bag shut against the flange, melting the two pieces together, effectively sealing off the output. Couldn't separate the top of the bag from the flange without tearing it, so ended up swapping out the bag. Maybe if the spout on this device sticks out a little bit it could help prevent that kind of a seal.

That flow assist thing would have been wonderful during the time I had to deal with my ileostomy. The leaking and burning and itching from the output was so disheartening. Thank you for sharing this info.

Hello Maggie... You are amazing ! Thanks for creating this channel and this reservoir of information. I had total proctocolectomy two months back. In one of your videos ( don't remember which one) you mentioned thatyour back passage was sewn and an incision was made near it. I also had similar surgery, my anus being sewn and an incision made just above that. Can you help me with the time frame how long this perineal wound generally takes to heal. I also experience serous discharge from that wound... Any idea how long i should expect it to continue? Thanks. 🙂

That is an awesome design! I would have used that with my ilesotomy. I don't have that problem with my colostomy now but good to know that that is out there as an option. ☺

Hi, FLOWASSIST is best suited for watery output. However, we have seen many cases where it has worked well with colostomies and it has helped with pancaking for some people. He could try our FLOWASSIST Seal with his current pouching system first to see if it helps.

Once again, I have to thank you since the day I had my surgery you’ve seen me through every single moment and prior to almost every single bag change. I listen to your voice. I’ve watched your bag changes over and over when I do mine because it makes me less anxious about doing it even though it’s been over a year and eight months. It doesn’t seem like it, but You’ve gotten me through it all always. So I thank you again for a product that with my Iliostomy and the fact that I am having a hard time eating I have really bad watery output and this would be amazing so I put into get some samples and prove your right once again, my question is you stick with this all the time because I recently had to change to Convatec because Coloplast did the same thing to me as you, adhesive bothered my skin terribly. Same with Hollister I’m tired of the leaking between the two pieces constantly. It’s becoming an all the time thing so I am now trying and using some of Convatec’s products???? Thanks hun😉❤️❤️❤️❣️

I feel so bad - I don't know the name but it was from Envato! Unfortunately they banned me from their platform (I have no idea why) so I cannot access this song anymore. Any other music I get is from Epidemic sound which is I find to be much better! More variety as well as being able to use on multiple accounts if needed :)
