AN TEALLACH winter traverse, Torridon, Scotland

An Teallach is a mountain massif in Northwest Highlands of Scotland. The beautiful area is called Torridon and is a home for some of the best mountains in the country. Scottish people say that An Teallach is a finest mountain in Scotland.
Traverse of the main ridge in winter is a classic mountaineering challenge classified as grade II winter climb mainly because it's lenght and remoteness rather than technical difficulties. it's a big day out with the impressive stunning Alpine views. However the terrain is steep and exposed in places so great care, head for heights, some experience and reasonable level of fitness is recommended. And yes... good weather! I have been waiting for this day for ages.
After missing some good chances in last few years I thought.. especially with my age growing as well:-], that this winter An Teallach must be my top priority. There was a few days weather window at the beginning of March with the best forecast for Sunday 6th of March 2022.
I thought it's my time to be selfish for once. Left family, dogs, work.. everything behind and just went once again for a long drive up north for this unforgettable mountaineering adventure..

Thank you Dave. I believe you can still do it! Try and go in nice summer day. If you don't like heights I can assure you that you can bypass the pinnacles, there is a path and I guess it will be well visible in summer..

Everybody keep telling me that they did it in other direction. I wonder why clockwise is the usual way around? Because you do pinnacles at morning still relatively fresh..?
