In an overly fast paced world, your channel offers slow, relaxing crafting. Thank you for calming me down ❤️. Even your drama is calming 😊😊😊

Whew Jennifer! I often think, “Is this just boring?” But calming is a wonderful added bonus for me. I tend to be internally high strung and anxious. Crafting does a world of good for me. I’m happy that it comes through in my videos.

I hope you and your sweet other half have the happiest National Brothers Day tomorrow!! Big hugs to both of you. I think tossing it in the washer would have been a great way to enhance the beauty of what you've already created. This fabric is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen boy that would be pretty on a bag or tote!!! Namesta Dear 🤗🐞🥰

Happy spring Lori. I hope life is settling down a bit for you and yours. These days are so difficult still. I wish I had kept the patch to play with a bit more as well. I really did think that it was not ugly but ... in the eye of the beholder. I didn’t realize that another Hallmark holiday has come. NBD ! Bittersweet for me. My brother and I have been estranged for over 40 years. Complicated story but based on my divorcing and ‘coming out’. We were married to sisters so it was a huge family thing. In the early days the anger and hurt made the separation easy to bear. As I’ve gotten to this age it has taken on a different emotion. Still, I know the breach will never be fixed. So... I’m so happy with the many adopted brothers... and Sis LaLa. Y’all more that fill the void. 🤗 & ❤️

Well your brother like my brother doesn't know what they're missing and sometimes the best family is the family that we decide to have. I'm so proud of you and everything that you do. Don't let anybody bring you down because depression or anger doesn't hurt them only ourselves. What was the years I've lost a huge family our reunions were 200 plus for just the Michigan members. But I'm okay with that and now that I have my KZbin family I'm doing great. 😘🐞🥰

Thank you so much for viewing and commenting. I haven’t made much ‘socially conscious’ art since my college days in the 1960s. As I began to finish this I realized that it is making a statement and that I should think of more ways to incorporate that into future projects. Funny how we collect ugly fabric just because we can’t say no to any fabric offered to us. 😆

My response to this challenge started the same as yours, I cut it into narrow strips. I learned somewhere that something boring or overwhelming when large can almost always be improved by breaking it up. I actually made one long narrow strip by cutting it in a spiral of sorts. Then I crocheted it into flowers, using a tutorial you posted 😁 I love your finished product!
@BootsieSweettarts3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, thank you! I can’t wait to see Tanya sharing your flowers. I like to crochet with fabric strips. I’ve been saving old t-shirts to make a few projects with. There’s the saying that “the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts”. I guess this is the opposite. I’ve seen how to spiral cut fabric to make a continuous strip. That makes for an easier time crocheting. I have a few ideas on the planning board. Thanks so much for your kind comments and thank you for your support. Plz stay well and safe.

Even crafting on a budget $$ is expensive these days. It costs so much to ship even small items to people. I am a diy-er in most things so the real savings is repairs and maintenance on the house. Thankfully I am handy at that. Thanks for viewing and commenting Vanessa. I so appreciate your support

Thanks Kendra! This was a fun challenge. Now my challenge is to reduce a many day project into a shorter video. Seems like I always have to keep my craft table super clear so I can video on a moment’s notice. Hehehee.

Oh nice idea! I really had no idea where I was going with it in the beginning but noticed how the wrong side was just as useful as the front. Then it was easy.

See.... it's all in how you look at it. But the double knit poly is a bear to wear! I had slacks made from a similar fabric way back when. The slacks were so warm to wear and scratchy. That style and that kind of fabric is gone thankfully.

Hi Roy- I have to say you are very creative with your opening screens- what software are you using?
@BootsieSweettarts3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Steven. It’s fun but the editing VERY time consuming. I use OBS a public domain app on my pc for videoing and Adobe Premiere Elements for editing. It’s a bit quirky but I’m learning to work around the annoying eccentricities. Adobe really wants you to buy a subscription to the monthly “Pro” plan. This, as you know, can become an expensive hobby in itself. Thanks for viewing!!!! Stay well.

Great video and you did a wonderful thing with the fabric! Gosh that stuff reminded me of some of the ugliest polyester pants I've seen in my day. Truly a no iron, wrinkle free travel clothing material. But I can't imagine actually wearing something made from it. lol. TFS!
@BootsieSweettarts3 жыл бұрын
Janice, thank you. You made me giggle because in the early 1970s I had at least one pair of slacks made from that poly double knit fabric. They were warm and itchy to wear but it was the ‘thing’ back then. I was a new dad so there are quite a few pics with me wearing them. Hehehehe
