I have 2 VIP tickets to Band Maid in Phoenix sold out I have seen the Mighty Led Zeppelin live in the mid seventies and I can honestly say that I cannot hardly wait till October and oh yah I have seen all the greats since so that is saying a lot about me wanting to see this Powerhouse of Female Rockers Long live ROCK in all its forms these Ladies are no joke!

I had the chance to see them in Germany a couple of years ago, it was absolutely worth it! These girls rock so much and have so much fun on the stage! 11/10 would love to see them again You will find some fan vids from these shows on yt as well.

From Japan I'm a BABYMETAL fan living in Hiroshima, where Suzuka was born, but I found BAND-MAID and now I'm also a fan of BAND-MAID. Thanks for the great introductory video. They have a three-week tour in the United States in October of this year. I am looking forward to the report.

@@toshimatyu6654 やはりそうですか。洋楽・邦楽に関わらず正統派ハードロックバンドを聴く人が少なくなった現在では仕方ない事なのかも知れませんね。私なんか本来は洋楽のバンドばかり長年聴いてきた人間なんですが、Band-Maidを知ってからは洋楽・邦楽・アーティストの性別関係無くBand-Meidがナンバー１バンドになってしまいました。それだけの実力と才能に溢れたバンドだと思っていますが、音楽とは思えない安っぽい流行り歌や海外音楽を下手に真似た音楽が人気の日本の音楽業界が恥ずかしい限りです。夏に予定されているUSツアーのプレライブが日本で開催されるのが楽しみです。久々の日本での有観客ライブなので、東京だけで開催でも私は行くつもりですよ（笑）。それだけの価値があります。

@@thecryingdragon7513 そうですか。広島って音楽は割と先進を行ってる感じなんですが、Band-Maidは国内でのプロモーションなど興味が無い影響なのか広島で知っている人は少ないですね。彼女たちが下積みの頃は広島のライブハウスも回っていたのですが、ホールでライブやるクラスになったら広島には来てくれる気配はありません。出来ればUSツアーの前に日本国内ツアーをやって欲し買かったです。今年の夏は私もロゴ入りTシャッツ着て広島の街中をたくさん歩きます（笑）。

Great to see someone tackle this project. BAND-MAID were overdue for a KZbin Guide. Nice job. If you’re open to feedback for an updated version at some point, they no longer have the band leader position that Akane held in their earlier days. And while MISA doesn’t usually wear shoes on stage, that’s not true 100% of the time.

Nice intro to B-M. Since other commenters have given some corrections I'll give a couple too. 1) Band-Maiko is not modeled after "geishas". Maiko are apprentice geiko, based in the city of Kyoto, and "geiko" is what that genre of entertainer is called in Kyoto, never "geisha". Geiko and geisha are not the same. That said, if you used "geiko", most English-speakers wouldn't know what you mean. 2) About hometowns, saying Kanami's hometown is "Kanagawa" is like saying Flo Milli's hometown is Alabama. "Kanagawa" is a prefecture---like a state in the US or province in Canada. Because it's not certain (publicly) what exactly are the hometowns of some of the members, to be consistent you might just stay with prefecture, which is what you've given, in which case Miku's home prefecture Kumamoto, and Misa's home prefecture Okayama, are both spelled incorrectly in the vdo. (You have Kumamato and Okoyama. Btw, in the case of Miku, both the hometown and home prefecture are Kumamoto.) Trivia: You're into Babymetal, and Yui and Kanami are from the same prefecture Kanagawa. Kanami and Akane were friends of Babymetal's Kami Band's late guitarist Mikio Fujioka and used to hang out at his club gigs---they wrote really warm tributes to him when he died and attended his funeral.

Great video, thanks for the effort! Much of this I had already known or seen, but still found interesting and entertaining. There is no such thing as too much Band Maid! I think this video is great for people just now finding this amazing band. I found them back in early summer (I think) of 2017. I will admit the "eye candy" got me to the party (I had never heard of them, wasn't looking for them, but KZbin served them up!), but the ear candy has kept there and won't let me leave! I continue to be amazed by these incredible ladies and the more I find out about them, the more I love and appreciate them, not just as world class musical artists, but as people. My only complaint about this video is that it wasn't long enough! Thank you again!

This is excellent I've been a fan of Band Maid since 2016 and you have hit all the major points about the group members perfect video to introduce a newcomer to this incredible band. The only thing I see you neglected was that Akane is noted for always smiling. Also mention that they do hard rock, punk, some metal and a little jazz like "Wonderland". Thanks Love this.

Great work & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Even after I discovered BABYMETAL and fell into Foxhole in July 2019, I thought the band in maid outfit was just a gimmick. Yeah, I was an idiot and stubborn old man. When Band-Maid became my another favorite artist in 2021, COVID already made me inaccessible to their live performance. 😢 I could only bought blu-ray discs and a ticket of their online acoustic concert. So I am jealous of American fans who have chance to witness shows in their forthcoming US tour. It's NOT fair!

With their US tour see-out, plus the need to add dates takes them to a new level, internationally. Should have given the Tokyo School of Music a plug. Also should have mentioned them tricking Saiki into joining the band. As to Babymetal, even Miku has said that Band Maid is the second Babymetal. In that they were the second band to achieve international fame from Japan and tour annually in the US and Europe.

Loved the video. Thanks for all the work putting it together. I agree Band-Maid and Babymetal shouldn't be compared. They are both phenomenal, but with different styles. They are now my two favorite bands and rarely listen to any western rock-n-roll or metal. IMO a collaboration between Babymetal and Band-Maid would be worthwhile.
