The scene where Furina is judged guilty is so brutal once you know the whole truth. She fully believes that she failed and her 500 years of suffering and loneliness were for nothing. The prophecy came true and everybody is going to be dissolved. She tried her hardest to do everything she could and everybody she tried to save is turning their back on her.

Just to stress just how much agony Furina was going through by the end of the trial: She was basically a child, pure and innocent, when she was first given her role. "Mirror-me" was intentionally vague, implying that if Furina took this role, she could BREAK the prophecy, not once saying that she intended the prophecy to come to fruition. Because of that, Furina kept looking, researching, and holding out hope that the prophecy might be broken one day. Upon learning the Traveler was coming by, Furina dared to hope that we might cause a significant change in Fontaine just as we'd done in every other nation. She never expected us to break her trust and start the grand trial to end everything, which she never even considered until the very end could be her own. At the very end, her identity was revealed despite her desperation. In her eyes, five hundred years of agony and suffering have all been for nothing. The one thing preventing the prophecy has been broken, and all hope is lost. There's nothing she can do, and everyone will die because of her. The proverbial Sword of Damocles has fallen. Just to add on, the human psyche isn't made to handle one century of memories and experiences, much less five, and all the while pretending to be someone your complete opposite. Furina's mind and soul were broken after the first century. Addendum: Her inner world even solidifies her dedication. Even given the perfect chance to ease her burden, she would refuse, on the even slimmest chance it might cause harm to her people.

I think the hardest part in all of this.. Is that she was alone the past 500years. Even if she talks to others.. She can never truely show them who she was. Her true feelings are rarely allowed to be shown. And not by others but by herself. Thus she cant even ocupy her mind with the hatred of someone who has done wrong to her. And thus only loneliness is what she could feel to. For a social race such as humans.. Loneliness is painfull.. And 500 years of it is dreadfull. The archons were able to percevere bc they have a whole differient state of mind. And are wholeheartedly persuing divinity. And they find joy in what they do. Furina's situation is like.. Locking someone in an empty room and forcing them to do something they dont want to do for 500 years.. But its even worse.. Bc she cant even be abgry at others.. Bc it was her choice.

A bit i read in the Game's Text (i can't remember where, unfortunately) about Furina says she created eccentric laws. I think she created the No Floating Objects law just before unique, special Traveller arrived - so she could arrest Traveller and create a Trial that could be the one she was waiting for.

I got into Genshin because of the Raiden Shogun, on several levels. She was my main, and never doubted that. When I started the Fontaine Archon quest, Furina was just... annoying. She could be charming, but it felt that all she was was a facade. Then this quest hit, and I mean HIT. I was a blubbering mess. She resonates with me so powerfully, and gave me very Talenelat'Elin vibes, for anyone who has read the Stormlight Archive. When she had her rerun, my friend helped me, and I got her to C6, and she will probably never leave my party.

She is an archon, specifically the body of one. Focalors made herself clear that she was merely the divinity of focalors and that furina is the body. Its like Venti vs Barbatos. Its a thin line that gets blurrier with time. Ei is the divinity as she has gotten rid of her body meanwhile the rest of the archons have both.

People seem to misunderstand because her divinity refers to Furina as a different person, and she technically is, but by the literal sense, neither ARE focalors in her entirety. One is the divinity given to focalors and the other is the spirit and body left behind. Its clear she still has the resolve of a god and the same characteristics as Focalor’s divinity’s personality. Her Divinity mentioned Furina acting just as she (the true complete focalors) did when she first became human(aka got reshaped by Egeria, she is alluded to having her memory back after Egeria died; thats when the rest of the story begins). That is all that needs to be said to say Furina is rightfully an archon. Because she is Focalors’ SPIRIT and BODY. The divinity got rid of the SEAT and Focalors’ godhood. Furina herself is the archon but the oratrice was made to get rid of the position itself. Furina is the archon in the same way Nahida is the god of wisdom. The divinity likely executed themselves in order to keep herself and Furina separate and also because she had the divine powers of godhood/archonhood; by TITLE Furina IS the archon. Focalors wanted to be human after all. She achieved both her dream and saved people.

And maybe that's why Furina has so strong heart for the last 5 centuries. Althought she is human, she's still part of the God of Justice, so Furina also has strong sense of justice. Completely ordinary human clearly can't do that.

It's definitely a sword, but also a reference to the guillotine, as well as, in my opinion, the Sword of Damocles; which is part of a story in which the sword is a reflection of the constant danger that looms over those in positions of power.

3:16:16 someone in the chat said that Celestia reminds them of a certain "world government" in One Piece. I couldn't agree more, and SPOILER ALERT!!! the whole Fontaine region seems based on the Water Seven arc, with the Court of Fontaine being Water Seven itself, the Opera Epiclese being Enies Lobby, and Fortress Meropide being Impel Down. There's even a parallel between the Aquabus project mentioned in Navia's story quest, and the Sea Train built by Carpenter Tom, with Tom being a parallel to Callas. Oh, and I forgot the Melusines being literally the counterpart of the Fishmen, they even have their own village resembling Fishman Island... The destruction of Khaenri'ah being exactly like the destruction of Ohara... I think there are too many One Piece fans at Hoyoverse!!

After rewatching this countless times, I have miss some few details, I was so caught in the emotion but the trial was to prove that furina wasn't the archon, and considering everyone is not aware of mirror furina, the oratrice basically proved them to their face that she is in fact the hydro archon, it was a trial against the hydro archon therefore the judgement by the oratrice was a full proof evidence, but unbeknowing to them the sentence was meant to be for focalor herself, the confusion is quickly picked up by neuvillete since the accuser (litteraly all of them XD) also have an evidence against her XD. man what a goddamn writing.

I did this quest during the last 5 hours of my 24 hour live stream...big mistake....I was already up for so long and then this line Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon. Don't cry. came and it hit me like a punch from superman and I started bawling on stream.

Neuvillette did not gave up his full-fledged hydro dragon sovereign status. The gnosis is not needed for that. The gnosis, to Neuvillette- is nothing more just a props, a reminder of what happened, and what Focalors did to save Fontaine. Neuvillette has no need for the gnosis. He is now a full-fledged hydro dragon sovereign even without the gnosis. People misunderstand this part of the lore, thinking that the gnosis is the only source of power/authority. The gnosis is just a device made by celestia from the remains of the 3rd descender to contain the stolen power/authority from the dragon sovereigns of Teyvat. Dragon sovergeins does not need the said device (gnosis) to contain that authority. What he gave to Fatui was just a fraction of it or maybe even just an empty vessel.

They hinted toward it with the Dendro Archon quest but flat out said it with this one. The Gnosis enhances elemental power, meaning that it doesn't grant it. It's not what gives the seven their power. Instead, their power was given to them by the Heavenly Principles after being stolen from the elemental dragons. Originally I thought it was given to them via the Gnosis but instead it was granted to them more directly via their role (their "divine throne"). What the Fatui want with the Gnosis, is just a guess at this point. Based on what The Knave said, they either want to restore the 3rd descender or usurp the Heavenly Principles (or both). Also, you'd pull off a really good Navia cosplay.

Bruh, i cant believe i hate furina once before this. Dont get me wrong, i always loved her eccentric personality cause it was entertaining but after seeing her inner willpower & dedication to actually save everyone. My god, her name should be one of the legends man, the one who save the world.

if you put the dialog in manual mode (where you click to read next text) then the black screen with the text will also have the manual method. This way you can read the complete information with ease and no rush when reading it....just my 2 cents here haha.

Could it be that the other twin is already dead and they were originally the 3rd decender 🤔 and the twin were chasing is not originally our twin and was just made in Tevat and that's why Irmisul consider them as a native of the planet 🤔

I was really immersed in the story, until the woman mentioned her ancestor met Furina ‘almost 20 generations ago’. If Furina became an ‘Archon’ for 500 years, that would make the average age of the woman’s ancestors around 25 years old 😂 but overall a superb AQ!

don't worry guys Neuvillette still have his full power even though he gave the gnosis away bc we misunderstood it to be the one who will gave them full power if they consumed it but it's not, the truth is that only if archon died and gave away their authority, this "authority" of archons are originally sovereigns' authority so in conclusion gnosis is useless now
