An Unbiblical Sermon?

Currently leaving a “church” like this. One thing that finally struck me about this style of meeting is that it’s VERY works based. You always have to scream and shout and carry on (work) to get your “breakthrough” and “blessing” . There was no concept of resting in God’s promises. The shouting wasn’t coming from your heart because of who God is, it came from a desire to see his hand. I got so tired of working for God to change my circumstance and I decided to simply trust what he has spoke. He will bring his promises to pass out of the integrity of his own heart ❤

While this video is accurate for the most part, the only correction I have is tongues. Tongues are not only languages, it is a two-fold gift. Some are given the gift of languages such as on the day of Pentecost. But Paul says in Romans 8:26-27 that the Holy Spirit makes intercession with “groanings that cannot be uttered (unintelligible words on language). And that God who searches the heart, knows the mind of the Spirit meaning that people will of any language will not know what the spirit is praying unless the spirit reveals it to said person. That’s in 1 Corinthians. I just don’t want people to miss out on the fact that unintelligible tongues are also a gift of the Holy Spirit. Bless you!
