What the ending cutscene is supposed to mean is that the entire game is a series of nightmares. Fred is a former mascot employee and the mirror is supposed to symbolize how the mascot is a reflection of himself, his fears. He was freaked out by the animatronics and the costume that he has to wear. So in these nightmares, the animatronics are alive and when they found out that they were being replaced by newer models, they were pissed off and decided to try to take action. Chuck E even says "I will NOT be replaaaaced!" There's no murders, ghost possessions or malfunctions, they were just alive and the costume itself is alive too without anyone wearing it. This dream twist ending is foreshadowed early on with the flags in the dining area being backwards. It's amazing how no one, including myself, never noticed the flags being backwards until the devs pointed it out!

Unusual - It doesn’t seem like a human error, nor do the animatronics have any reason to flip ‘em, so it stands to reason it would be a mental thing - Trauma or stress making the brain ‘put the pieces together wrong’, so to speak, just like how a lot of little things in dreams seem fine but once you think about them they just seem wrong for no real reason

Oh finally, someone else understands it! I've seen way too many people on comments talk about murders and ghosts and whatnot. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Fred was actually replacing Sue on her shift as a night guard, and his nights spent looking over the animatronics were what caused the nightmares to start. If you think about it, Gus (the phone guy's name, according to the devs) never even mentions Sue, so it's a detail that probably gets overlooked in the dreams that Fred has. But this is more proper theory material, definitely not confirmed.

some corrections: the first chuck e cheese actually opened earlier in 1977! since the portrait style bots stopped being used in about 1980 this game most likely takes place from 1977-1979

I do like how the devs kept the guesswork out of the lore and just slapped the current date in the top left corner. The reason why this game gets me so uneasy is because being a 90’s kid I’ve had the pleasure of seeing all these animatronics in person in their multiple forms. It’s the exact reason why FNAF caught me so quickly when the first game dropped.

The phone calls speak about trespassing and potential tampering with the animatronics, it's done in such a way that the costume is implied to be the trespasser so it revealing the mirror seems to imply instead that you're not actually doing the job you're hired for instead disguising yourself to commit these acts, at least that's what I've picked up myself. If you haven't already I recommend going down the rebranding of Pizzatime Theatre rabbit hole, it's quite impressive as a whole, I'm rather fond of the scrapping process myself if only for how stupid corporate higher ups were :b

10:19 Actually it takes place in 1979, looking at the model of Chuck E. and the cameras say 1979. Either way, good video. I especially like how you mentioned Mr. Munch being a copy of Grimace. Lol. Nobody else I know has made this connection. Also Chica being an inspiration for Helen. And Scott using the CEC timeline, that's very true that there's a lot of similarities. My favorite Chuck E Cheese building layout was the two story one with stairs. It was huge. This was back when the Elvis Lion animatronic was a thing I think, the crow animatronics, etc. I'm only in my early 20's but I love reading about this stuff. Thank you for this video.

It's probably been mentioned, but the reason the animatronics don't have legs is because those portraits in the office? Those *are* the animatronics. The original Chuck E. Cheese animatronics performed in little faux-portrait boxes, and had no legs since their lower halfs were hidden and that saved on engineering time and money.

This is actually my favorite FNaF fangame! When I first played it, I loved the gameplay, setting, and the atmosphere! I watched a lot of people play it before I actually downloaded it, so I managed to survive the first four nights lol Other than the story mode, I really loved the Custom Night. I really enjoyed beating True Nightmare All Challenges (True Nightmare With Power Mode, Long Nights, and Aggressive). It made you want to push until you beat it, which I liked. FNaCEC:R will always be my favorite FNaF fangame. No other game can make me change my mind.

This is one of the Fnaf fan games I got on the laptop I got for Christmas, and I love it! I’m a big CEC nerd and I was impressed by how much care and effort the developers went into making the location feel authentic by including even the smallest details, like the Pong machines and the Stage Call audio. It impressed me even more when they included Crusty The Cat and Dolli Dimples, which are rather obscure characters outside of the CEC fandom. To me, it felt like it was made for both Fnaf and CEC fans in a way, and I love that.

6:16 Fun fact in the early days of Chuck E Cheese first of all his government name is Charles Entertainment Cheeses and secondly all of the animatronics were mentioned for a gag for the adults. (hinse the cigar) Also they didn't have legs to save money and since you couldn't see them due to the "Window Stage" yeah this was a phase where I really was into the animatronics of Chuck E Cheese. Most likely because my parents didn't allow me to do anything revolving around the bear after I shown my mom the Living Tombstone song; "Die in a Fire". 😅

The game takes place in the late 70s, around 1979, it has the animatronics from the second location, Kooser Rd, and a custom location. And the reason they don't walk around is because the locations with the "portrait show" they had no legs, they were only made with the top half. The stage call is a reference mechanical, in the later balcony showtapes they added an announced who would say "Quiet on the set" twice when the segment began. Chuck's lazy eye is a reference to the lazy eye problem with the 2nd version of the animatronic at the first location. In the basement you have to face Crusty, a character used at the first location and spawed out for Munch at the 2nd one for more variaty, and same for Dolli being at the 2nd location, it gave you reason to visit both locations, they both werent the same and special in their own way, meaning more customers for both locations. Also it's Fredbears Family Diner, not Fazbears family diner.

26:10 I think the symbolism behind the mirror is actually pretty wild if you think about it. Let's assume the reason the animatronics are acting up is because of some FNaF-like scenario, where at least 5 kids were murdered & stuffed into the animatronics. I believe that this not only explains why the Chucky animatronic appears to have been crying at 11:59 , but also explains WHY Costume shows us the mirror at 26:10 , and WHY Fred (our protagonist/player character) wanted to return despite not needing to: because it was HIM who killed those children, assuming that kids *were* killed and stuffed into the animatronic suits, with Costume acting as a Golden Freddy-like character. That's why Costume shows us the mirror in the True Nightmare ending , because WE were the cause of all this, and we're either trying to make things right, or pulling another William Afton and are disturbing the souls just for our own twisted enjoyment... This theory even ties back to MatPat's theory at 2:17 , maybe Radiance is using that real-life incident as inspiration for his story coupled with inspiration from FNaF. *But hey, that's just a theory. A **_GAME_** THEORY!!! Thanks for reading!!*

This game is actually one of my favorites in terms of style and gameplay - one could say it's sort of a FNaF 2-like with the amount of chaos you have to jumble around, even better than FNaF 2 I'd say... though also ridiculously unfair once you get to the tougher challenges, like the All/20 challenges. The Costume is no joke. I do know what the True Nightmare ending means, I could explain it if you want. Oh, if you're curious about the layout of the restaurant - the map so to speak - Radiance did make one outside of the game. You can probably find it online.

I honestly adored this game whilst playing. The only thing I found kinda frustrating was, that Chuck E Cheese, Mr Munch and the dog can in nightmare just gank on you and just destroy you. Outside of that 10/10 game for me tho.

I just love the whole aesthetic of the game. I miss when I was 7 and when I even had my birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. Seeing the animatronics and the time when fnaf started to boom around that time is when I believed maybe the animatronics can maybe walk around. Chuck E. Cheese will always hold a special place in my heart knowing that it’s a former shell of itself now. Good old times :)

The thing i love most about this game is how fair it is.For alot of fnaf fan games hell even the actual series your success can hinge alot on rng.If you get really unlucky in fnaf 1 or 2 while playing the max custome night there is literally nothing you can do where as this game will never force you into a scenario where you cant escape or at least not one that cant be prevented. Instead of relying on rng to make the game artificially more difficult the game opts to give you alot of things to multitask leading to a challenging yet importantly consistent gameplay loop.

FNAC 2019 is perhaps one of my most favorite fnaf fangames that are out there. It reminds me a lot of FNAF 1 in terms of its simplicity hidden by a terrifying environment.

The minigame during the end of 6am the animatronic figure is Crusty the Cat, he is like the others an animatronic during the rea l universe we are in. they got rid of him because, he was a temporary animatronic and got replaced by Helen Henny. That is the reason he is in the basement. Also, all of the animatronics did not have legs and because this was the early age of animatronics designs so they had to have a box which would keep all the parts in it. Also, I think they should've had Pasqually right by the kitchen that would be in cam 5, it would've given it a little more challenging.

This would be extreme nightmare fuel in VR. 😭 The only part about the storyline that doesn't make sense is that Fred was originally supposed to be a stand-in for Sue. Why is e continuing to come back? Also, Pasqually was in the band. He's been in the show for a while. At least since the 80s.
