Don't waste the viewers time... Again what is the point of the video, make it as concise as possible, Information density... 3. Load up the learning outcomes... Make the viewer feel like the got something of substance at the end. 4. Plan for flow... Make sure you have a clear idea, Some ideas will have a natural order, think beginning to end, do not get distracted from the natural conversation. 5. Make it personal... 6. Provide context... its not always obvious what you are presenting or the story you are telling. 7. Remember your audience... know your consumers, their level of knowledge, and their level of interest 8. Plan for payoff... 9. Tell and show us how we should feel... 10. Have fun, The audience has a finely tuned bullshit detector...

@jasonsachinger32762 күн бұрын
@@kart182 I doubt such a clause would be legal , given that the scheme is meant to defraud affiliate revenue and likely illegal in some way. But even if it wasn't, they have a moral and ethical duty with the size of their platform to return the money they were paid for the ads and to then expose the scam. The fact that they said nothing is what makes them a coward. They took the money then said nothing for three years which allowed potential millions to be stolen from smaller content creators. This is a massive ethical, moral, and possibly legal fallout from all of this. And GamersNexus publicly exposes then removes all the scammy businesses from his channel. You want me to believe that GN has better terms in the ad deals than LTT? I doubt it.

That is the best way I have ever heard "Sales" worded. I always HATE the sales teams of any organization I've been in because of the recklessness with how they pursue money over everything else, and it really got me to hate "Sales" as a career and skill. But I've never disconnected it from the recklessness and focused on it's skill to argue. Thank you so much, this really changed my perspective 💚

God I wish I could find something I'm as passionate about as Linus is about LMG and his career. Say what you want about him but he's genuinely passionate about what he does. He's passionate about informing people and educating them about tech and what is a good deal and bad deal, making entertaining videos and having fun. There's so much to learn from him from things he's picked up being a forerunner in tech youtubers. Thank you Linus for this insight.

I have loved LTT for a long time, Linus is such a genuine energetic and interesting guy. My all time fav youtuber, and my most watched, would love to meet him one day. You can tell how passionate he is about tech, even in his new and old videos where he might be shaking holding a new CPU because he is so excited. Glad you guys had him on the show, great episode!

great video. he is "the youtuber" that i look up to, be it the youtuber side, family side, business side(merch etc) i think a lot of people will aspire to have a video like terrace/taran, showcasing the kind of relationship or work environment in LMG that ultimately is what makes that " i quit from lmg' video so emotional and valueable. i am not phrasing it well but theres something supremely great about how linus/lmg conducts its operations (be it transparency about the percentages of their source of income or employess relationship with each and the audience) also once i start making money, his merch(brand) is probably the only high quality (at right or slightly high) enough for me to be convinced to make that purchase. clothes are top notch and so are the the tools(screw drivers, magnet cable ties and backpack). maybe not the backpack cause not my style but otherwise they are all just simply top quality stuff.

@@werethless12 You keep comenting all this angry stuff and being vague, the plug in his apology video that was an actual apology video because LMG has done all the things they'd said they do, and what have they lied about for the last 10 years? Like LTT had their controversy, they took the feedback, and fixed their issues. Sure they still aren't perfect but no content creator is. He has stated that the Honey issue was resolved in 2021 when they stopped advertising it and talked about it then on the Wan Show. He also has staff to pay still so in that 2 weeks of introspection they took no videos were being made or worked on, so they still needed to pay people. "Either I am a micro manager and do everything myself or I am loosey goosey and dont care" is a point of contention I had with one of my old bosses. fortunate for me I could and did quit. For Linus He cant completely fire his "boss" he just has to take his lumps and continues as is.
@ZeLoShady2 күн бұрын
There is a nuance to that dilemma that most leaders never realize and it's this. You can be BOTH a micro manager and a loosey goosey at different times to different (or the same) people. You don't have two different people saying two different things for no reason. No one is perfectly strict in their conduct and it's impossible for a leader to predict when someone they are directing is taking a situation (interaction) seriously or not. As a leader you can't always control how people receive your actions but you can control your reaction to their feelings when presented with them.

what's great about LTT is that they're producing to tier merch and tools now, not merch actually but really high quality clothing. too bad i can't get any of it here in Beirut.
@victorkreig60892 күн бұрын
That's one of the main reasons they are selling so well The main avenues of getting just basic stuff doesn't really exist anymore because amazon killed all those markets, unless you live in a small town/village you're SOL because there just isn't enough business for more local people to be able to compete at reasonable prices to give you better quality products. Well unless you live in Japan or Vietnam, they have both been able to survive this change well

What a great speaker. Linus can formulate his points and relations on the fly. Linus is the epitome of living long enough to see yourself become the villain. Quality of the videos dropped off a hill, merch gimp, became an apple fanboy.
@Wavpro2 күн бұрын
@@Bai-HuiSome of their latest videos are clearly the highest quality they've ever been, they make really good stuff that could easily spin off into it's own company instead of being merch and he literally made a video 3 weeks ago on why the iphone experience didn't live up to what he wishes for and went on for 20 minutes about issues that he for the most part sees android phones have already solved.
@Metal_MaxineКүн бұрын
@@Bai-Hui I really don't get people claiming Linus is an Apple fanboy. He's always points out features that make things sort of great _and_ then a lot more features that aren't great, don't work or aren't well-priced. And it seems to particularly nark him that Apple coasts on its "great for creatives" by-line and cult following. Also, guess what? Apple doesn't talk to him. It's why LMG always reviews Apple devices later than the dedicated, more "on message" Apple channels - they have to either buy retail when the item is released or hope d-Brand has made a skin for it and have some sample units to spare. I think that it was this that more killed LMG's mac-centric channel than anything else.
