@@Kevkf I don't really get this criticism. Art and A.I Art can and should co-exist. The meaningful side of art, the part that convey's very particular things will never be replaced by because A.I doesn't have feelings or a perspective. What A.I art can do really well and should do is establishing shots, replace stock photos, allow for large enviornments to be created quickly so they can be altered by human artists etc. I love writing screenplays but I can't storyboard for shit and I use A.I to generate approximate images of what is in my head for that purpose. In the future low budget filmmakers will be able to use it to generate environments that would have been absolutely impossible in the past. So I think it will end up being a tool just like any other. Abused by some, used really well by others. People right now are just unable to be objective and hand wringing just like people did when planes came on to the scene

What you're describing just means if they were at all interested in not training on copyrighted material it would be a hard technical challenge to accurately identify derivative work that still embodies the original copyrighted content without first knowing it which means you'd already have had to train on it.

So where's the uncanny valley? The phone reviewer looked wrong and I could tell he wasn't real and yet, it didn't have the freakish look to it. Like the phone standing up right and looked almost like a photo in front of him. and his hand movements were good but his fingers didn't move right with the hands and didn't really move separately. Next time, if you review ai again can you show the varieties of outcomes for comparison? It can help to see how it interprets differently, also allows to see the time this would take to use. Also do you type the prompt and does it allow audio prompts? Does it have audio results? Music? Thanks for the review!

veo 2 has done a decent job. only one problem is the inconsistency in the cartoon styles within one video: spongebob and patrick clearly have different art styles, one has outlines and eyes have glare in them, while the other has none.

Instead of paying them for their time and work and mastery, this can let those multibillion dollar companies cut out the artists and hog all the money by just pumping out AI slop.

That includes if it's "AI slop" too. Nothing stopping you enjoying human-made content just because AI exists. I mean people may prefer the slop, but then it becomes questionable whether it's really slop or you're just cherry picking bad examples nobody actually uses in production, and you just kinda have to accept that people are allowed to freely choose the content they want. If you enjoyed working your job, AI pumping out slop shouldn't stop you either. Just keep doing animation. The only difference with AI doing it is you'll get paid whether you do or don't, so the work will be consentual and optional.

I've been toying with Video AI on YT for a while and I have to say, as excited as I am for Sora and Veo2, I think they are pointless to release now without; Camera Control, LipSync, LoRA for consistent characters, Image-to-Video, and possibly even other basic ControlNet options (Depth, Canny, In Painting, Styles... etc). Open Source is fine with just prompts for starters, but the rest can't compete with KLING. And Kling is not even top 4 quality... But just being able to control some of it makes it the only real option.

Well, technically the child could be holding a pet bat like a hamster, but since it's not at home and at a baseball park, it's highly unlikely that the child would have his pet bat with him in a dangerous ball park also it's hard to wear baseball glove while holding a pet, AIs consider a lot of different aspects and just one word or object left out or added can change the whole concept of the image. It's really interesting leaving in a bit of vagueness and seeing what the AI comes up with.

Actually they do have AI that can make a 3D environment from just a picture, if you add that to a 3D file import to Unity, you could import that into VRchat and explore it in VR, with the VR chat creation tool it's not too difficult to do.
