I would love to have each Maidiac provide one fun fact about Band Maid. No duplicates! I wager you could easily get over 100 unique responses. 1) Kanami plays 10-46 gauge guitar strings.

2) despite Misa's reputation for drinking, Miku can drink more than any other member in the band.

You definitely need to check out the series of documentaries on each of the members of Band-Maid by Ohrenje. They are so comprehensive and thoroughly researched and well written and produced. Also a lot of fun are the interviews with Kannai Devil that ran from 2017-2020.

A Maiko is an apprentice Geisha from Kyoto. This was an April fools joke by the band. On April 1st 2018 the Band-Maid website and You Tube channel was taken down and replaced by Band-Maiko. All music was removed and replaced with this MV (a cover of Band-Maid's "Secret My Lips). They stated this was their new direction. They also don't sing in normal Japanese dialect, they sing in Kyoto dialect. They also changed their names: Saiki became Fujiki Miku became Hatoko Kanami became Kanoemi MISA became Umemisa Akane became Akatsuki In 2019 they did it again on April 1st releasing the MV to "Gion-Cho" - the only Band-Maiko original. They also released a seven track EP of Band-Maid covers with added traditional instruments plus "Gion-Cho" "Secret Maiko Lips" (Band-Maids "Secret My Lips") "Akasimahen" (Band-Maids "Awkward") "Ansan" (Band-Maids "Anemone") "Tora and Tora" (Band-Maids "One and Only") "Yolosiosu" (Band-Maids "YOLO") "Screaming" (Band-Maids "Screaming") "Gion Cho" - Band-Maiko original The only band I know that formed a covers band of themselves! For the full experience react to a 2 in one in this order: (It will blow your mind)! Band-Maid "Secret My Lips" MV Band-Maiko "Secret Maiko Lips" MV Enjoy

Miku's side project is called "Cluppo" and the name of the song is "Peace & Love" =) Miku says Cluppo's genre is called Hippie Pop Po ! They have released one album so far ! Thanks for supporting our Maids this was fun .

You are mistaken. MISA is still with Band-Maid. Fami is bassist with Lovebites. Band-Maid have had no line up changes since they started.

They did audition and add Saiki as a new singer, but that was very early on.

There are a few factual errors and a rather glaring typo in that video. You'll learn more when you watch Ohrenje's documentary series. For now, I'll just point out: 1. As others have already commented, Misa is still with them. Nobody has ever left Band-Maid. The only line up change was when Saiki joined the band, which was prior to their fourth concert (August 2013). 2. The alter-egos are called "Band-Maiko." The video has a typo, calling them "Baid-Maiko" if I'm not mistaken. Although thay aren't actually the same people. Totally different band, never seen together. 3. Saiki was never called "Ice Queen" by anyone except for a few misguided fans on the internet who tried to get it over. Saiki is called Sai-chan and Sensei within the band, though.

The video is outdated, and it also contains some incorrect or misleading information. Hopefully you can watch the newer documentaries that are more accurate and shed more light on the band!

It's Band-Maiko not Baid-Maiko... that line was a typo on that slide...
