Basically main > lead > sub. So main is, you could say, the best? Like main vocalist will be the best vocalist in the group. Lead vocalist is the second best, and sub is well, a substitute for if anything happens to the lead. If something happens to the main, the lead steps in.

The “this is..” series from Insomnicsy is a very good way to know the individual members outside of a guide. The channel has 2020and 2021 versions and I would recommend both as the videos are short. Insomnicsy as a channel in general has great content. “Welcome to the Dreamworld- History of Dreamcatcher” is also an excellent guide; it’s over an hour long, but it’s worth it. When it comes to the members, Dami and Siyeon are biases. SuA and JiU are bias wreckers and Handong has been wreaking my wreckers hard since she got back from China. The girl gained confidence or something while she was away in China for a year… the Handong that came back from China is not the same one that left. Dami got me right away with Boca as that was my first song. Odd Eye was my first comeback. Scream, Deja Vu and Piri were the next I watched as I initially watched stuff out of order. During Piri, Siyeon carved out a co-bias spot while Dami just solidified bias spot. Siyeon had been fighting SuA and JiU for bias wrecker up until that point. Once Dami and Siyeon became co- biases, JiU and SuA ended up being bias wreckers; Yoohyeon and Handong love to fight them for a bias wrecker spot… they basically just wreck my wreckers all the time and give me a hard time. It took me 5 songs to become an Insomina.. I was hooked real quick (just like it did not take me long to become a Monbebe or MooMoo..) There is no calm in Dcremacter.. even the “calm” members like Dami and Handong just add to the crazy. Talented, beautiful, chaotic crackheads. Some of the clips are from their variety show Dreamcatcher Mind that is 10 episodes. It’s very amusing and I never get tired of rewatching it. Minji/Jiu- Taurus, 1994, May 17. Our rabbit. This is a bit of a info dump: Main = nr 1 position (only one member can have this position) Lead = nr 2 position Sub = nr 3 position These aren't super strict but it mainly means what the members are best at and/or how the compare to each other, it's to differentiate them from each other. However siyeon (main vocal) said that she doesn't know the difference between lead and main vocal in DC is, so it depends on the group. Edit: just 👀 that some else already explained, hehe.

If only members, i think the famous "This is..." series by insomnicsy is better. The series have 2 season, the 2020 ver and 2021 ver. Why famous, well, the DC members react to series, and insomnicsy is our unofficial president of InSomnias.

@@CallanAmber DC do Halloween Special shows every year. It's the high point of the year. SuA's costumes are just creepy and amazing. This year she got dressed as Colombus' statue and creeped everybody out. She also got dressed as Pennywise, that's why Siyeon said it, when SuA appeared with a creepy smile behind her.

JiU = Gee-yoo SuA = Soo-ah Siyeon = Shee-yon Handong = Han-dong Yoohyeon = Yoo-hyon (second syllable is like "yon" with a short "huh" sound at the start) Dami = Dah-mee Gahyeon = Gah-hyon This is not perfect but hopefully helps. You can also listen to them introducing themselves on shows like After School Club and hear how they say their own name.

It's funny you mentioned Taeyeon from Girl's Generation. Many people believe her an Handong have very similar facial features and even made collages filled with pictures of both Taeyeon and Handong to try and see if people can differentiate them!

It feels like you'll love their ballad songs. I would like to recommend The Heart of Sunflower and Dear if you haven't react to any of it. There's no mv but there's a stage performance.

The main vocalist is usually the member/s that have the strongest vocals with the most stability and/or range. The lead vocalist/s will often be just as stable but not always as strong. The main dancer simply is considered the more talented and skilled dancer over the lead dancer/s. The main rapper is usually faster and has better flow when spitting verses than the lead rapper.

Just adding one more thing. It's also about the musical roles in the group. The Lead Vocalist "leads" the Main Vocalist to the chorus and the higher notes. Yoohyeon or JiU, and lately SuA lead to the chorus or raise the notes so Siyeon can take it from there and go for the super high notes. The Sub-vocalists take care of the bridges, the intros, the killing points etc. In DC these roles are not that clear.
