Eupha isn't a disbeliever of her faith by the end of her dungeon she comes out of it learning that they failed to upkeep the ideals and purpose of their real faith and dedicates herself to acting out what she learned she basically comes out of it with more belief in what she follows
@Varsona21 күн бұрын
Agreed! Thanks for pointing this out -> I selected a poor phrase to talk about Eupha's arc. Moreso than not believing in her faith, I wanted to point out how fast she was able to accept a new/alternative interpretation of her faith and how this is not the norm. Usually to change or take on a different belief, the person themselves are already questioning even in subtle ways (which I think Eupha already was?). That said, 100% agreed that she is not a non-believer. Bad verbiage on my part 🫣 whoopsies

@@Varsonaa likely reason for that is because it isn’t the basis for her faith. She still gets to hold onto her beliefs, just adjust them to fit a new context This isn’t equivalent to ‘God doesn’t exist’ it’s ‘God exists but _’

Minor spoilers about the Prince's... . . . . . . . ... assassination attempt: Rella herself confessed that she aimed to kill him outright, but due to her nervousness and hesitation, she messed up the spell and what would have been a swift death sentence instead became a life-long curse. So it is not fair for you to say the Prince surviving being struck wide-open is plot armor at all.

Ah thanks, I knew I was forgetting something. Still, not sure why using Rella would Successfully frame Louis
@vinhtringuyen637022 күн бұрын
@@Varsona It didn't matter who did the deed, Rella was just a convenient tool for the Church to eliminate all threats to the throne, which was essentially in Forden's hands as the late King forfeited any kind of authority to him. First and foremost was the rightful heir, the Prince, then it was the young military genius who quickly rose to fame, or infamy. For such an ambitious upstart who also vocally oppose Sanctism, the Church can spin the Prince's assassination into Louis's insane plot to overrun the Kingdom itself. To the public eye then, anything the Church said had the King's backing to it, not realizing the puppet King had already given up on stopping any of this devious scheme.

@@Varsona because in that time Rella and Louis have the same body structure. At least that's what the game told me.
@Varsona21 күн бұрын
The game does make it a point to state somewhere the lines of Rella being similar in age and stature to Louis, making her the perfect assassin to tarnish the upstart. However, I don't know how age and stature plays into anything when the assaliants all wore and concealed themselves + all had a similar stature. At that point, yep it didn't matter who did the deed nor how the deed was carried out - especially since after the incident Louis still went on to trailblaze through their military ranks 🤨

Best way to deal with Soul Scream: Heismay with Agility gear, Knight's Proclamation, and Royal Thief. Those 8+ attacks get instantly reduced to 1 failed attack XD
@pforgottonsoul21 күн бұрын
honestly my heismay didn't even have knight's proclamation and he still dodges 90% of the time. Fighting the final boss at full strength and seeing 8 press turns disappear is so satisfying.

Or just slap a physical/magical repel on party members. Since almost every attack has to hit your whole party by late game you're bound to repel something and dismiss those turn icons.

@@pforgottonsoul Is that only with the gear or the repel spells as well? Because I don't recall having any issues with the spells. Might be because buffs were getting reset, can't recall. I did find that Hulkenburg's 15% counter wasn't an issue though. Even then, those are the only exceptions. And in those cases, you'd need faith in agility. In every other case it's a guarantee and essentially the only viable and reliable strategy for dealing with excessive turn icons.

Spoilers: I'm currently in the dragon temple dungeon but i already spoiled myself on the whole story so i dont mind watching the full video. I want to mention some of my main nitpicks since you mentioned infiltrating louis' skyrunner. (I absolutely hate that deadline the most precisely cause its the most plot hole filled). Anyway my biggest complaint was how come ABSOLUTELY everything is about Louis? They just breezed through the Sanctist church, Rella and Forden. I agree about party members too. Yes they were all different tribes but none was from the sanctist church. Forden had no boss fight. Next complaint was it felt that all the deadlines were worthless. In the grand cathedral, zorba wold've sent the human even though you beat him. The stealing the formula was useless too and the divine lance also since you challenged louis to a duel anyway. One deadline should've been reaching Rella (since maybe the prince's condition went for the worse now that Rella upped her magic). Anyway i hate that reveal about the prince too. Since he "died" but merged with the mc anyway it felt like the party accomplished absolutely nothing. Its like the writers were excusing failure after failure by upping stakes but revealing how useless they were anyway.

[SPOILERS] To be fair Eupha didn't go from believing in her religion to not believing in it at all. I think she simply came to understand that her and her people misinterpreted it. And her awakening was predicated on her role in all of this. She felt she had lost her reason for existing because her purpose in her mind, was to die for her people. She realized that it's better she live for her people rather than die for them and hence her awakening. Additionally They probably could have saved the prince if he was stabbed. I think... because I think Zorba said in the last bit of the story that he did stab him to confirm his death. However, considering the protagonists rips his hearty out and is healed.... honestly Im not sure how well healing works in the game. Lotta plot armor shenanigans occurred during the final battle.

The one choice gripe I truly have is the section where (Minor Spoilers) . . . . . you have a talk with Louis after the first runner fight. It gives you three options, but then forces you to reselect whenever you don't pick the "correct" choice. I'm sorry, but if I can't make the choice I want in that time, then don't give me the choice and just have him say the line.

I got to the last stretch of the game yesterday and decided to just watch the ending in KZbin. This game really was a letdown for me coming from persona 5 royal and SMTV. The characters are one note and the dungeons were tedious and un memorable. The combat was fine but grinding the archetypes for each character was annoying. Hopefully the sequel does better.

Honestly agree a bit about the dungeons and the archetype grind but to say smt5 and memorable characters in the same paragraph is blasphemy to the highest degree.
@pralenkaman810516 күн бұрын
Disagree on the characters, you can reduce any character to a single phrase, yes, like hulkenberg - "fallen knight" or sthrol - "a lord that has lost everything" but when you really dive into who these characters are there's so much more Hulkenberg might be a fallen knight, but why is she? She chose to be a fallen knight after fsiling to protect the prince, she could've pulled a rodanthe and stagnate, becoming a tyrant knight who abuses power, but she didn't, she upholds the knight's code, even if it doesn't benefit her. She upholds justice, she went on a journey without purpose, helping people just because that's what a knight would do, even if she isn't one anymore, she fights rodanthe even though she knows the fight won't be fair and more. She's a loyal, justice upholding, caring, strange food enjoyer knight, there's a lot to her character Same goes for strhol, yes he is a lord that has lost everything but he himself has said that once upon a time he hared his parents for their values, he grew learned the meaning of those values, restored (kinda) his village (gave the hallians housing in grand trad), had and has doubts on if what he did was the right call, he grows slowly through the story, you can notice this, from being your ryuji from p5, you know, the homie, to not just that, starting at martira he starts to become the tactician of the group, I thought that would be hulkenberg's role... but no.... it was sthrol all along, he is the one that always came up with the gambits, he is the one that made the big public speeches, hulkenberg was just the shield, but sthrol is the tactician, that legit suprised me and I meainly noticed due to his archetype tree eventually asking for the commander tree And can we talk about that, the archetype tree reflects in gameplay the characters in lore, strhol grows to be the tactician of the group as the story progresses, so his archetypes ask for the commander lineage, junah is a great liar and gets the group out of trouble from louis' group on multiple ocasion so her lineage asks for the faker lineage to be upgraded, basilio starts as a meat head that just wants to bash louis in the face but grows to be more controlled and disciplined from the short time he spends with the party so his lineage asks for the brawler lineage that later on has skills like meditate, eupha has a desire to learn about other cultures and learns about sanctism in her follower events so her lineage asks for the seeker to be upgraded, it's actually masterful how it was done These characters aren't one noted, they grow, they change, some more than others due to having more time spent with them (mainly strohl, junah, heismay... sorry but heismay with his arc about accepting his child's death and moving on that affects his world view until the very last boss fight of the game) Sorry but I just can't agree with the characters being one note, I can understand your other critics though, main dungeons tried to keep things fresh, each one seemed to have its own niche, but side dungeons were just too repetitive, that I agree
