Both magic and physical are strong; physical deals more damage, magic is basically invincible.

Team changes were basically: benched Strohl as soon as Junah joined, benched Heismay as soon as Eupha joined. After that I only really brought in Heismay to steal from enemies, and with Strohl and Basilio I brought them in when I wanted to do a physical party (which was mainly just to reload saves to beat bosses a second time with a physical team to test the differences).

your approach was more well-rounded on each character than mine. i ended up using basilio with exclusively physical boost + strike boost skills (and i think one that gave him auto attack buff start of battle.) that plus i had him master the warrior linneage for the attack stat boots, and gave him strength boosting equipment. i had him doing wanton destruction over and over, doing 3000-4000 a swing unbuffed, pre-weakness & it never stopped being funny i actually found that the most useful thing about most of the royal archetypes is that they get synthesis skills like vishnu, vorpal blade, junah's dances, etc as regular moves. once you get access to extreme damage moves without synth, it became less important minus some select skills like junah's all party charge, and you have dekaja or debilitate or formations for most of the synth skill effects you mentioned. and i was not short on mp restoring items by endgame. so i just had basilio melting thru bosses and other characters healing, buffing, & throwing in a royal sword or sth for extra damage if i have a turn.

Wow! Me and you almost played exactly alike during our playthroughs, and i cleared the game weeks ago. Crazy how great minds think alike. I didnt take advantage of Warlord like i should have, especially on Hulkenburg, but everything else was very similar.

Yeah, I used most of these on my first playthrough that I did for a sponsored video, but wanted to test more things and make sure I liked them most so I waited until after my streamed playthrough to make a video.

1st play through built magic had a hell of a time trying to beat the the last 3 bosses but did 2nd play through I searched up the best build just to see and ofc it was the merchant class made everything night and day easier 100% last night love the game

Everything is viable because of inheritance skills which is why I love it

Magic destroys the last 3 bosses only slightly slower than physical, but is also invincible and literally can't die. So far I've beaten the final boss's hard version on hard mode in 1 turn with physical and 2 turns with magic. I beat the super boss on NG+ at around level 45 with magic but needed to wait until end-game to beat it with a physical team.

I like your builds. I personally don’t use Synthesis Skills with Heismay. So my preferred approach would be to put an Elemental Dodge skill on him, then Shadow Dwellers (Chain of Bonds will ensure this skill is at full power) and then whatever debuff I want. I’m going full in on Heismay as a Dodge tank/support.

You're missing out not using Synthesis Skills as they are the strongest skills in the game by a pretty significant margin.

Have you tried a strength pllaythrough? How did that go regarding your main character? I'm around level 50 and have eupha recently for an idea where I am. I've mostly been sitting on pugilist since strohl covers warrior.

I tested strength/physical builds but found that magic was just all around better by a significant margin. Physical has the higher damage ceiling, so if you are going for big setups to one-shot enemies then physical is the way to go in the end-game, otherwise magic provides significantly better defense and flexibility, and is generally better for most of the game.

@ only royal archetype I have is the Prince. And I barely mastered multiple archetypes. I thought I was doing fine but every end game tutorial I look at lets me know I clearly wasn’t doing enough 😂

​@@blueblackskullgaming2067 The Prince is the only royal one you get as part of the story; for the rest you need to have specific archetypes either mastered or at specific levels to unlock them, and for your party member's bonds to be maxed. There is a spot in the final dungeon that is great for farming though; it's a spot with 3 of those crystals that infinitely spawn enemies and you can just farm them over and over.

Which party do you recommend to go against the Super Boss?

Depends on when you are doing it; earlier on magic is better since you sit on the back line and abuse Bardon's rank 4 passive, but later on it kind of no longer matters since both magic and physical can beat it pretty easily. I would say if you are doing it at the end of the game, physical is slightly ahead for it.

What I wanna know is how much time do u got on this game? How do u have the MAG to have every Archetype on every party member?

My final playtime for that playthrough was just over 100 hours for a 100% fresh run. As for getting MAG, it just came naturally while leveling up everyone's archetypes, which goes pretty quick once you get access to end-game areas.

Are these stats from NG+? How are you able to achieve such high MP numbers and also master all archetypes for all characters?

Everything shown is from a fresh playthrough with 0 stat boosting items used. Mastering archetypes just comes down to knowing how to farm efficiently; making use of bad weather, good spots, etc.

@@edloseli for efficient farming, look for spots with easy to 1-2 kill enemies in action combat, ideally from the infinitely respawning crystals or areas in which you can quickly reset them (so close to a dungeon entrance or near the cat). You can also increase A.Exp by doing this during bad weather, as that gives a bonus to exp gain. There are decent spots throughout the game for this, but late game is where the two best are: the first is in a place called the Disgraced Ruins which becomes available from 9/23 onwards. Basically there are two mimic's outside of their chests that you can kill, then reset with a nearby cat; you put the MC on a Thief lineage and farm those over and over for an item that gives 3k A.Exp. The other spot is in the final dungeon of the game where there are 3 crystals that spawn enemies infinitely that give great exp.

I have no idea how to generate that much magla! I'm still on my first play through and I'm about two weeks away from doing the final dungeon/fight. MP regen has been a major issue for me.

MP regen is solved with Shield Blessing; Revitalise 3 can be added later or used as a replacement. With just Shield Blessing, I got through the Dragon Temple without a single character falling below 90% MP. As for Magla, it kind of just comes naturally if you are also actively working to level up your Archetypes with some grinding. At one point I had close to 2 mil Magla before I decided to spend most of it to unlock all of everyone's archetype trees for the rewards for doing so.

There is only one super boss and I beat it very easily on Regicide with Prince, Royal Summoner, Elemental Master, and Warlord.

Nice builds here! I'm currently in the last month of the game before the final dungeon, is grinding for max archetypes better done before or during the final dungeon? I see from the background videos you grinded in the Forsaken Tower for example. And does completing the Coliseum Ranks take a lot of days? Worried about not getting to complete everything before the time limit.

There are two really good places to grind at end-game: (1) the final dungeon; and (2) at the end of the Disgraced Ruins. For the final dungeon there is a section in which there are 3 infinite spawning crystals; for the Disgraced Ruins, there are two mimic chests outside of their chest that you farm while putting the MC on a Thief archetype. As for having enough time, Metaphor is extremely lenient; there is so much free time they could have put an entire extra dungeon in the game and you could still have free time to spare.

Is an all magic team build competitive with a physical team build?

An all magic team on the back row is the overall best team you can make. It has a lower damage ceiling, so if you are looking for the highest damage-per-screenshot then physical is the way to go; but outside of that magic is significantly better and comes online much much earlier.

@@RozalinGaming That's great to hear. I felt like since I the MC gets the Prince archetype that I would want to go physical, but had spent most of the game working on a magic build. I did read somewhere though that the Prince's attacks use his magic stat if its higher, but i assume being in the backrow would still penalize those almighty attacks?
