This technically is a golf r / s3 engine with the engine code of cjx. They technically don't make a replacement usdm GTI or A3 engine overseas for Alibaba.

seems like your not opening it up, have you atleast put a camera to check bores etc?

I took the upper and lower oil pans off to see main and rod bearings. Then sent a bore scope down every hole the engine has just to see. The head hasn't been pulled as I want to leave it as it came to see what fails first (headgasket, pinched ringland ECT)
