The Chinese American Museum’s ‘An Untold Past’ series returned on April 19, 2022, this time discussing the Chinese diaspora in Canada. We partnered with the new Chinese Canadian Museum of British Columbia to help explore this unique history.
Moderated by UCI Associate Professor, Dorothy Fujita-Rony, Ph.D., the panel discussion included Henry Yu, Ph.D. of the University of British Columbia, Imogene L. Lim, Ph.D., of Vancouver Island University, and acclaimed writer Paul Yee. Watch to learn all about the history of Chinese immigration to Canada from the 19th century to the experiences of Chinese Canadians through present day.
“An Untold Past” is a series developed by the Chinese American Museum to tell the often unknown history of Chinese diasporas in the US and around the world.
