Platforms like KZbin and Twitch thrive on this sense of relationship with the creator, but the problem is there is no real relationship there. People feel or act like they have a real relationship with the person their watching, but its not that kind of relationship, its a one way relationship and people don't seem to understand that while you might feel you have a close relationship with the person your watching, the person your watching doesn't know you, or if they do its not in the same way, and so folks tend to push this weird "I'm your friend" type attitude or entitlement, when you're really not.

Hey Tom, I am so sorry that you and Jade are going through this. I nearly lost my family about 10 years ago because of things I was doing and had done. This will not be a popular suggestion (and I'm only guessing based on some of your comments on some podcasts) but it made ALL the difference: Go to a Church. Seek out a good priest for guidance. No matter what happens between you and Jade, this is what made the difference in my life and marriage. Jesus is there waiting to comfort and guide you. He loves you infinitely and is just waiting for you to ask for help. God bless you brother. I will pray for you during our family Rosary tonight.

I'm a very late comer to your channel, just started watching this year. Been going through old episodes, and strangely, this pops up high on the search terms. Boy, this feels personal, and I get it. Got married in '06, divorced in '14. I found solace in having a lot of talks with folks I knew and loved who had been through divorce and came through on the other side. Small piece of free advice: Keep dealing with the pain and trauma of loss as soon as possible. Face it, find help, work through it. And if you ever get in the dating pool again, be 100% honest about everything from the jump. Be well. You've got a good soul, and you've got a great heart. It comes through in your work.
