It's actually questionable if "slower" bigger project are doing worse on KZbin and can be considered "stagnation". When new videos are coming out rarely with a moderate amount of hype around them they are doing great in fact. Mark Rober, Dream and Mr.Beast are using this tactic. It seems like algorithm is considering channels that work this way worthy of promotion. If you feel like this constant high-effort video production is too much (which is understandable) you can work on something big for a considerable amount of time (2-3 weeks) and release something simpler in the meantime, something that will take less work and be fun in general (funny moments from streams/your own gameplay/gameplay with friends or whatever you like) while also making posts in community section about the "big thing" and mention it in the other videos. It'll of course lead to a disproportionate amount of views on different videos and it can be discouraging but it should work as a channel growing strategy (cause KZbin will think that you're capable of consistent "banger" creation) and allow you to do whatever you are passionate about AND also have fun. Of course it requires work and consistency and you have to study and you have life and everything might be overwhelming but... You know what? Just don't give up completely. If you're able to do at least 30% of what you want to do, if your videos are at least 30% of what you were trying to make out of them... You're doing great. That's a tough lesson that everyone perfectionist should learn. Don't give up on the whole drawing if one stroke turned out to be bad. Just go with the flow, you know. I would like to see your take on post-shift 2 part B I'm so tired that I can barely read what I wrote, but I hope that I got my point across. Take care

Sounds cool! Can't wait to see how these small videos are! What type of news/games for gameplays are planned to be covered?

I have some ideas and some small mini review-esque videos hope you'll enjoy them :D

Congratulations on making it to 1.4k subscribers! I remember coming across your channel back when you had 100 or so subscribers. Glad to see just how big you've grown.

I understand!! I think that sounds great & try not to stress yourself too much. It sounds terrible to do all that.

just please do not burn out! especially when combining youtube with university, that must be tiring af. wherever your content-making path will go, I'm REALLY looking forward to see what it's gonna be

I'm not going to burn out, I just realised that I needed to make some changes in my video uploads and that I would take forever to upload videos, if I didn't make any changes. thanks a lot for the concern.

Ah, a fellow college student. I’m sorry for your overall energy. I hope your new stick works out, it can be very tiring to do college while doing other things on the side. Maybe you could try some anonymity thing for shorter videos? Like covering your face with a mask or lighting? Since an actual virtual model would be expensive. As would animation. Then again I do watch a lot of voiceover channels. Then again I don’t know how much you are willing to invest in your channel. But I would recommend the covering your face thing if you are worried about your identity being open in the internet, or your appearance being unfairly judged.

Also I have seen a lot of people reusing long content videos, and clipping important parts, or jokes that work on their own. Meaning more content, with less work. That might be better for your schedule.

I'd honestly love it if you do lots of FNaF Fangame content but I am good with you doing anything as well.

thanks a lot! fnaf content isn't going anywhere right now, but I do plan to do other games alongside them for now.

Here's what I would recommend on your channel, first great job on the pace you've been taking and the progress you've made. It's amazing! So take the W when you can. Second, youtube is a milk machine the more you milk something your audience wants the better. HOWEVER, as a fellow creator I can tell you I understand. Here's my advice. I would just do commentary videos with gameplay in the background, that would be great for your short form content! And then in the background you could do your long form content, because your retrospectives are whats popping off and for good reason. So focus on your retrospectives/deep dives my friend but don't get burnt out. I believe in you my friend, OH and I would recommend sticking to this channel my friend, don't worry too much about a new channel at this point you're on the war path so keep pushing!! You got this
@Perrigate2 жыл бұрын
thanks a lot for the advice, you just gave me a lot of good ideas for some weekly content that I'm hoping to make major improvements to my retrospectives after the next one or 2.

Id suggest doing something similar to Thafnine, with a main channel for large heavily edited videos, and a smaller channel where they post secondary content. For them, they do streaming, which could be a good option to consider, then edit the vods.

AYO IS THAT THE COMMANDO FROM THE HIT GAME RISK OF RAIN????? (is is I the person who commented on a comment on your post shift 2 video :) I watched through the video after making this comment and I noticed you repeat yourself nervously a few times, it's fine to be nervous but it is quite awkward to listen to, doesn't deter me from watching your vids but other people might (not trying to be rude just trying to help pointing out things) and second of all, if you go read my comment I made on someone else's comment (it's one of the top ones I think) it talks about how you should do whatever you enjoy and don't try to appease the masses, you don't need heaps of subs to make videos (however it is very nice) contrary to this though, it IS important to get to 1k subs to get a partnership and start making money off of videos, after that though you should do what you want (even if that means making videos only your current subs enjoy) It's fine to be niche as there are so many goddamned generalist youtubers that it's so boring to scroll through them all and see them post the same thing with the same fake reactions (even if you do choose to do fake reactions as long as it's unique or funny :D) Also the idea of small videos sounds good I definitely go for it, don't be like those stupid game developers who half bake their game just to get it out on schedule (in this case all of the newest COD games) make sure to cook your videos for the duration you want, also think about it like this, if you would enjoy watching your video (pretending that you didn't just spend hours maybe even days/weeks/months making it which would warp your perspective) and see if you enjoy it, if you do then I think you've got yourself a doozy :) face reveals )_) as long as you don't make some shoddy png of yourself and plaster it everywhere like other youtubers do (pngtubers) I'd watch you if you do anything but that :D (sorry if I seem demanding but I'm sick of le stupid pngs, however an exception for be funny or unique pngs, such as Sournale as an example, I still don't like it but I tolerate it because Sournale's content is just top notch)
